LIRL @ the Panthers pic. That panther/jungle cat roar when they score must have been awkward in an empty arena. I read the logic behind it, but I just get such a kick out of that team.

Brodeur is already chosen as the starter for game 1 according to DeBoer. I'd appreciate it if he continued making such mind-bogglingly stupid decisions. Like making Mark Fayne a healthy scratch like last year.

Disappointed they use the Phaneuf/Sauer hit as an example of a clean hit. It was clean, but I wouldn't highlight a play that ended the career of a player.

Wow you can tell it's the crybaby era of the NHL these days. Scott Stevens, who ****ed up dozens of careers, used to be shown as examples every analyst for how to deliver clean hits. Funny thing is, if Sauer wasn't a Ranger, or the Ranger had been Stu Bickell you wouldn't care at all.

Welcome to HFNYR where all of the franchises best and worst luck is lamented over for decades and is as touchy as racism.

Peter Laviolette just dropped a few echelons on my NHL coach ranking:

Frank Seravalli ‏@DNFlyers 4m

Laviolette said he likes Hal Gill against other team's top lines. Sure sounds like he is sticking around for a while: http://www.phillydailynews.com/blogs...ck-around.html

Am I the only one who thinks Weise was trying to separate Sheppard from the play and inadvertently knocked the other player into the boards?

That may have been his thinking but if so then he has next to no control of his body

My "source" on the scene says Bryz was just at Cherry Hill Home Depot questioning the employees about mops.

He even has a club named after him due to his unique talent for breakout passes.

How is saying "It was a clean hit, but I don't think it should be highlighted" being a crybaby?...

Even funnier, if Sauer was a Leaf, you'd be hearing the same things.

If he was a Leaf there'd still be threads about it all over the main board, non-Leafs fans wouldn't care about the Leafs looking for attention, and Leafs fans would get pissed because everybody talks about the Leafs
