stupid draft pick from jump street and he looks like another standard bama player. Looked good in college, and struggles in NFL when he's not on a team with more talent than everyone he plays against. With the exception of julio jones, bama players really haven't done **** in the NFL lately. Rolando mcclain-bust, mark ingram-bust, dre kirkpatrick-lookin like a bust.

Well they are giving up on the year it appears already which is a big FU to the fans who have already paid good money for this year

Hoyer at QB , Willis McGahee likely coming in at RB

I didn't think much of Richardson but at same time Lombardi is not some amazing GM. This deal could blow up in Browns face (or be success) or be failure for both teams , etc

The fact Cleveland is again heading towards full rebuild is amazing

when you blow an entire first round by taking a rb at 3 then a 28yr old bum qb in the 20's, its no surprise. Horrible managed team.

Yes they are terribly managed but there is no reason to think Lombardi will do any better

Just because something has happened a certain way in the past doesn't mean its going to continue. What's the alternative? Keep a rb who looks to be a bust instead of maxing out on his value now? They have to TRY to rebuild. Same reason the bears would be dumb to sign cutler just because he's better than the slew of bums they've had the past 15 years. The question shouldn't be "are you better than the **** we've had?", it should be "can we/do we need to try to do better?"

Got good value for him, I would have asked for a 3rd or 4th as well

NFL teams in real cities don't care about the fans, if any season ticket holders want to give up their tickets there will be thousands of people in line right behind them, especially for the Browns.

They're not going to fully rebuild, they already have a solid defense. They just need not-Jaguar performance on offense.

They waived the white flag when they started Weeden in week 1.

Exactly. How many running backs get traded for first round picks?

Worst thing is this just hands a free W to the Vikes this weekend

At least with Richardson there was a threat of some sorta Brown offensive attack

They're starting Hoyer, it was a free win anyway unless Richardson went for 300 yards, which is hard to do when you have two 20+ yard runs in your career.

Good trade for the Colts and, aside from the obvious message that it sends that they're already hanging it up this season, think this could be a good longterm move for the Browns, too.

lol, no there wasn't. Hes rushed for like 100 yards on over 30 carries. He hasn't shown ANYTHING at this level.

Chicago Bears return man Devin Hester was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in a Week 2 home victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Devin Hester had a career-high 249 return yards against the Vikings on Sunday. Hester returned five kickoffs for a career-high 249 yards in the Bears' 31-30 win, including returns of 76 and 80 yards. This is Hester's 13th Special Teams Player of the Week honor, the most of any return man in NFL history.

Richardson was projected to go 3rd overall to 6th overall on most lists. It's hard to blame a team that lacks a good RB for taking him. I remember that there were even some rumors about us trading Forte for that pick to take Richardson.

That's a good trade for the Colts. Their 1st will be outside the Top 10 and they get a Top10 talent that now can show if he is good or not. He's shown he can play in the NFL and I wouldn't call him "looking like a bust" when he only played for the Browns 1 season when he had no support and struggled with injuries.

Want to see if the Jaguars or even Browns will sign Tebow

i don't remember any rumors saying we'd trade forte to draft another rb...

Even under the angelo regime that would have been full re.

Reid completely outcoached Chip tonight. Gameplan worked to perfection, kept Vick and co off the field.

They have had the pieces to succeed

Just needed a QB who wouldn't kill them (Like Cassel did) and a coach who could get there defense back on track (It looked promising during the Haley playoff year)

Certainly looks that way. It's early still but their D looks great and they don't struggle to move the ball.

They had like 8 pro bowlers last year IIRC

As others have mentioned they've had the talent, they just missed the most important position in sports

The Browns will be like this in a year if they get Bridgewater
