Prince was a 2nd rounder

Prince was taken in the 2nd round with the pick Boston traded for Chris Kelly.

i mean playing 4 years ohl he's going to have get good enough to get used to that gamespeed over playing that long there.

It's weird, he seems to have "gotten it" in regards to his career. Not that he's going to turn out to be anything like his brothers, more in the sense that if he wants to have ANY kind of NHL career he has to use his size to his advantage and needs to become more defensively responsible to be useful. The transition from his first couple AHL seasons to last season is like night and day, and he seems to be continuing on that trajectory instead of that being an aberration.

In no peticular order-

Teuvo Teravainen, F, Chi- having an impressive camp
Michael Raffl, F, Phil- good chance of starting on Phil 3rd line. At 24 he's a bit more seasoned than some.
Connor Carrick, D, Wsh- 2 pts in 2 exh games, outstanding camp after only one yr in the OHL. Rumors say he may play AHL rather than go back to jr
Joe Colborne, F, TO- on a one way contract so may stick or be traded
Oscar Lindberg,F, NYR- AV has had good things to say, moving up depth chart
Peter Holland, F, Anh- should make team and move up the lineup as season progresses
Magnus Nygren, D, Mtl- NHL ready and out shining Tinordi and Beaulieu

Nah, but he's looked decent. Good with the puck, and on the PP, but not so much without it. Gaunce looking like he may have a shot at a 3rd/4th line role which, although he's a first rounder is somewhat of a surprise considering Sutter called him a long ways from NHL ready. Corrado and Lack are not surprises at all, but Archibald getting a fourth line role is possible.

No, doesn't look like it. He injured his hamstring in the first day of training camp and has been sitting at the moment, plus he's got a lot of competition. Missing this first part probably doesn't bode well for him making the team out of camp.

Danny Kristo is another player for the Rangers that might make the squad, especially with Hagelin and Callahan out to start the season. AV seems to like him a lot.

Shinkaruk, Gaunce and Horvat knocking on the door. Corrado is pretty much a lock. Jensen is on the fence but most likely Utica bound.

Boone Jenner is REALLY good.

Jenner-Dubinsky-Gaborik had 3 goals and 5 assists last night.

“That guy works his (butt) off,” Blue Jackets center Brandon Dubinsky said last night after a 5-4 win over the Carolina Hurricanes at PNC Arena. “He’s smart. As time goes on, he’s just going to get better. He chips pucks and chases ’em down. He hits guys. He plays hard every shift. It’s a blast to watch him out there.”

Have you seen each of them play, I have no idea myself but was wondering how things were looking for the various Habs D prospects and who might break through this year. I thought Tinordi looked just OK in limited action last season but he played in the play-offs and that would seem to indicate that the staff there have an increasing level of trust with him.

Bealieu seems to have knucklehead issues but is highly regarded as a prospect

Nygren seems to come to the Habs with a reputation for being a one dimensional d-man (offense only) but I have no idea myself, just what I've heard and read.

Any comments would be much appreciated...

Pageau would be my pick from Ottawa. Not going anywhere near the AHL this year IMO.

Palat is making it impossible to NOT put him on the team. Whatever line he's on gets better, and he has an excellent two-way game.

Connolly (not technically a prospect) may also make the squad out of camp. Honestly, if that happens I wouldn't be surprised if Drouin goes back down to the Q.
