This, Most of our rookies have been outplaying him...someone should tell him his spot on the roster isn't set in stone

Bennett looking good as usual. I think his best asset out there is between his ears. He has a really good instinct for where to put himself and what's going on around him, very at ease. I think he's going to develop into that home-grown offensive threat we've all been jonesing for for the last 6 years or whatever it's been.

Early in game D looked really disjointed / flat-footed, including on the Hawk goal.

Pouliot's goal was more a soft one let in by the goalie than anything else but Bennett was close to getting a deflection (think it actually went off the D based on the view I saw).
The goal wasn't that soft. Bennett anticipated the shot and broke to the net. Watch the replay. He created a nice screen. I can't remember the last time a Penguin did that on the PP. Once in a while, someone will park in front of the net. Most often, the Pens screen nothing. But, what Bennett did was so subtle yet so uniquely impressive on this team.

Oh, ok. I was wondering since you can't watch it directly through GCL.

I'm also getting sick of Sid trying to force passes in the middle on a tight box. You're good, but you're not that good. Wake up.

I hate to say it as well for fear of how DB will use him, but Kobasew deserves a spot here.

Well, our coach would argue that Beau Bennett isn't a top six lock, so that sounds about right . . .

Kobasew is essentially being doubleshifted. He's taking shifts with the second line after the PP, then going out with Sid again. God forbid Beau even get a shot, ya know?

Sid's looking quite lazy through preseason. He doesn't look like he's focused on this year. Maybe he's just pacing himself. He looks lazy.

But that **** happens. Long season.

Do you have GCL? Is it always a full minute behind live?

Engo really doesn't want to be 7D. He wants the 6th man.

He doesn't really have anything to prove...I'm fine with him staying low-key, we know he'll deliver in the regular season

Niskanen is playing bad to kill his trade value. He likes it here.

Who was that going straight to the bench when his stick broke? Smart play that not enough people make.

It was Vitale. Smart as ****. Adams would have stood there.
