If a shot was attempted but blocked, it wouldn't count as a shot officially. Would you count it? Just curious.

I think a lot of players attempt shots but it appears they didn't shoot because it wasn't an official shot since it was blocked or off the mark. But it is a shot, isn't it? (Maybe not a good one.)

A shot that is blocked is a category on the stat sheet (it's all listed in the event summary if you're looking at stats from the games). It's listed as 'A/B', for attempts blocked (and a missed shot is also a category, MS). So, yes that would count as an attempted shot on goal.

Figured I could use this to introduce myself to my fellow Preds fans. Hello!

Name: Lotte
Where From?: The Netherlands
What Type of Work Do You Do?: Floor manager (in training) at a hardware store.
Preds Fan Since?: 2007
Gameday Traditions?: Stay awake until the early morning is tradition enough. Most games start around 2 a.m. for me.
All Time Favorite Pred: Sully!
Current Favorite Pred: Not a clear cut, I love the hard working youngsters A.K.A. Bourque, Wilson, Josi.
If I Could Do One Thing As Preds GM, It Would Be....: Sign my stars ASAP and look less "cheap" (Sorry, Poile...)
This Season, I Think The Team Will...: Be better the more games they play. Unless injuries pile up again...
My Favorite Thing About The Preds Is...: Grinders 'til they die!
Whenever People Ask Me About Hockey In Nashville, I Tell Them...: I'd be flabbergasted people know about 1) ice hockey 2) Nashville Predators hockey over here.
If I Were A Player For A Day, I'd Wear Number...: 12
I Really Get Frustrated When The Preds...: Don't bury the puck when I feel like I could've buried it.
My Favorite Preds Head Coach Is... : Have yet to decide!
Seth Jones? : Definitely been impressed by his play these last 2 games. To me he has looked better than Weber right now, which is pretty amazing for such a young dude. Of course I prefered a forward, but I'm glad we went with him at 4.

All Time Favorite Pred: probably Jerred Smithson, since he came up in LA before he came here.
Current Favorite Pred: probably Rich Clune, since he came up in LA before he came here.
If I Could Do One Thing As Preds GM, It Would Be....: Obviously, continue to build the farm system to find upper echelon scoring for the team.
This Season, I Think The Team Will...: win some and lose some. None will be rained out...
My Favorite Thing About The Preds Is...: they're not out of any game until the other team scores
Whenever People Ask Me About Hockey In Nashville, I Tell Them...: the fans are generally more knowledgeable in the arena than in LA.
If I Were A Player For A Day, I'd Wear Number...: 14 (no idea why. just know that it's a major league number.)
I Really Get Frustrated When The Preds...: go on the power play
My Favorite Preds Head Coach Is... : I think Trotz is a VERY respectable coach.
Seth Jones? : Beware! The boy will be a man, and the man will be elite!
