If everyone is correct in saying how NHL ready Bournival is, im very excited. I hope he gets a 9 game tryout. He's very fast, strong and fit. Plus he seems to have a future as a very versatile utility player. Play him on the energy line and see what happens, especially since parros is missing some time. Swap him with white every now and then.

He's on a pro contract so the 9-game limit doesn't matter now. We can keep him up for as long or short as we want.

Everybody but Christian Thomas played a great game tonight. Collberg had flashes here and there, but this camp is an eye opener for him, he's got to step it up in the gym and I'm sure he knows it. Kid has 1st line potential though.

Galchenyuk was AMAZING tonight, he won a ton of face-offs on brute strengh alone and had perfect defensive positioning. McCarron played his role perfectly and everybody who's complaining about his skating is anidiot, period! Forman240 pound power forward, he can fly on the ice comparrd to kids his age. Prust was Prust, hopefully Travis Moen gets the memo tomorrow..

As for the D, all 4 Hamilton kids were great. Tinordi's ready, Pateryn is damn close, and Nygren has top 4 potential, Diaz won't last 2 years with Nygren behind him, garanteed.

Galchenyuk is ready to play center, he was great offensively and defensively this game. Glad he performed because now Therrien has a real dilemma. And wow, Tokarski could probably be a starter this year on a weaker team. He looked solid all throughout camp.

I believe he'll be a very good player for us in 1 or 2 seasons.

I was not impressed by Thomas, guy reminds me of Cammalleri, always looking for a shot even when it's not a good time for shooting.. ie on a powerplay when he got in the zone and shot directly on the goaler, puck when out of the zone and Habs never been able to setup in offensive zone. He's not really good in defense also.

I was impressed by the play of Dietz, Pateryn, Holland, Bournival, Nygren and McCaron (considering he's 18). Also the defensive awareness of Galchenyuk.

Should be cut : Tarnasky & Blunden. And Dumont need to wake up or he'll be sent back to Hamilton as well.

Not impress by Georges either..
My biggest pet peeve.

Flame away but DD was outstanding tonight. And contrary to several comments on the GDT, he won plenty of battles.

I like Holland all night, i kept on asking myself who was that guy. Good thing is that every seasons of his career he got better, very good progression.

Just a few comments on previous posters

I disagree that Thomas was bad. Thomas was okay. He even had some flashes of good. I like his wheels and effort, so I'm willing to be patient with him, as he is only 21 years old. Progression in the next couple seasons is crucial for him, and will determine if he will be an nhler, or another aaron palushaj.

Holland seems to be a smart, low risk player. I don't if that will equate into an nhl career, but I feel very comfortable that Holland will make the safe play with the puck. In some sense, he reminds me of Tom Pyatt.

On another note, its almost sad to see what has become of komisarek. The decline has been incredibly steep from 2009 onwards.

Tinordi still has to work on his shooting and then he'll become a complete player, one that can actually do squat on the PP other than passing.

Agreed. I thought to myself "how this can't be the same guy from last Sunday" he was a completely different player

I totally agree on Thomas. He didn't play bad nor did he play great on the other hand. To me he looked like someone who needs AHL time. He has the tools but needs to out it together

Thank goodness Komi left us and went to Toronto. He hadn't been the same defensemen ever since.

Galchenyuk was perfect tonight IMO. He was like a 3rd defenceman out there, all he cared about was defence, probably face-offs too. Too bad Thomas just skates and shoots.
