Compare Collberg to Kessel, is a great comparison?

Because Collberg reminds me of Kessel...

Really? The thread title is Mcarron=Wheeler and the sum total of the OP is basically that both are tall?

Wow. Insightful.

Dany Dubé compared him to Keith Primeau.

No broom handle, as long as he stays healthy.

McCarron is a bit like the Big Show but faster on skates. Also reminds me of Refrigerator Perry but with better hands. Also Mark Messier with hair.

I dont see much of a comparison other than size. Right now, I can't come up with a great comparable to him, although I've seen alot of names being thrown around.

Honestly I think Bryan Bickell is a fair comparison. Obviously Bickell has had his highs and lows, but he was a dominant force during the playoffs...

Seems to me that McCarron is ahead of Wheeler in his development.
He is also more physical than Wheeler.
Both have the same height but McCarron is already 32 lbs heavier than Wheeler.

The real question I have about McCarron is his lower body.
For a guy of his size, he is pretty easy to know down.
If he can get more strength/flexibility in his lower body he will become a real Power forward.

I really like what I see. He will play in NHL for sure.
We just need to wait to see how he develop.
With a player of his size, it takes longer to see the real value.

You have to tie rocks to them and throw them in the river first, to see if they float.

Also he fights.
I see him as Dostoevsky, and also a bit of Nureyev in there, along with some Guy Lafleur, and Ernest Hemingway, the later years, except maybe not with any of those characteristics. But otherwise EXACTLY the SAME.

Dostoevsky? He might have some gambling habits, that could also link him to being the next Jagr.

Well caught CL, I was going to mention this, but you beat me to it. Mcarron is very similar to Jagr.

I'm unsure what would be a good Michael McMarron comparison, but I can certainly say that a lot of doubt has been erase on the selection. I love what I'm seeing of this kids, very impressive for a 18 years old. I thought I would see a much more raw hockey player.
