Just before he leaves, would have been actually nice to see Big Mac play with 2 vets in an offensive role. Like with Eller or Pleks.....Again, no need to play Collberg in that kind of role as nothing will happen out of it. But to see what Big Mac could do could have been awesome.

Totally agree. Collberg did not exactly run with it while Mac showed some very surprising qualities playing with AHL players.

Hockey Night In Montreal

Would you guys be fine with Tinordi-Pateryn as a 3rd pairing for a certain part of the season?

Christian Thomas will probably be the one next to Pleky and Bourque.
Briere with Pleks could MAYBE work...if it was Pacioretty on the other side. But apparently one of the best wingers in the league can't play without his magic chemistry with DD....

I don't think any of them have enough NHL experience to play together. Rather have them learning with vets something like :

Markov - Pateryn
Diaz - Tinordi

But in a year or two they could definitly **** as a second pairing

I want to see:

Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Briere

It's about time that Pacioretty helped create offence instead of relying on DD and being a shoot-only player. Give him some time with our young guys and get back to being a well-rounded offensive threat. Can't put all the blame on DD.

Desharnais has a weak array of shots. Doubt he can even make a pot shot.

Pateryn is too slow to be with Markov. Diaz is there due to his speed to cover for Markov.

I doubt that very much. It is more about positioning and defensive awareness than about speed. I don't know if Pateryn has either but it would be good to see him paired with Markov in an exhibition game and find out for sure

I'm attacking the coach, not Desharnais. If anything I'm saying Desharnias can have a use without having his hand held by Pacioretty; otherwise he would have no place in the NHL.

Fair enough. I would agree that your idea is a good one

Funny fact though... I had my ticket in my hand and he sort of tried to keep away from face to face contact with me... Nevertheless I still said to him "bonjour mr Gauthier so had no choice but to answer back. There you go... You wont stay incognito today pierre.
