Thanks Hawkguy, I was a little worried I'd be expected to get out of that situation alone..... kind of like Pateryn.

On a side note, Collberg is going to need a little more time in the SHL/AHL. You can definitely see a spark though.

However, we usually carry 8 defenseman, so I don't see Blunden making this team.

White, Moen, and Dumont are battling over two spots as far as I see it.

Prust #10 and Parros #13
Last year we carried 7 defensemen and Kaberle

No choice at all.

Maybe Florida would be kind enough to include Gomez.

Come on now...how many games for Pateryn lately. They put him in a situation to fail and he did tonight. Worst game that he played while he proved in the other ones that he looked fine.

He could be a #6th d-man in tons of teams.

Give this to Bourque and hes a regular 40g scorer!

Very disappointed by the forwards, their D is horrible and their goalie is some random russian

The latter half of the 2nd period was all special teams. That will kill the flow every time.

Honestly, I like what I see tonight from the habs. Pateryn has been both unlucky and bad, but the youngsters are doing well in general

He struggled tonight but he has shown a lot of potential. We need to remember he has only played half as many games over the past four years as many of our prospects. Another half-season in Hamilton might do wonders for his development.

So in the end, cut Pateryn if you want. But keep Dietz. I love to see kids like that what he's missing to get in higher leagues. Great experience for him. And we know that Pateryn is going to be amongst the first callups.

Trade whoever you need for:

Samsonov - Gomez-A. Kostistyn
S. Kostistyn- Bonk - Latendresse
Higgins - Lapierre - Darche
Moen - Chipchura - Laraque

Kaberle - Campoli
Y. Weber - Komisarek
Bouillon - Dandenault

Thomas
Théodore/Bryzgalov

Bournival seems like he can do no wrong every shift he plays. Amazing to watch his forcheck, speed, and physical play. If he keeps this up, how do you not make room for him on the big club?

All of a sudden it's fun to think about what our defense will look like in the future. Dietz has great hockey sense.

It doesn't matter neither are going to see much if any big league time this year. Neither are in the top 10 of the orgs depth chart.

He was good on the 5 on 3 but other than that I haven't seen as much as I would like to see. Maybe I am being too picky
