Murphy doesn't get a penalty for that?

I don't see who could bring the same things that White does on that 4th line, he's looked okay now in camp and had a good playoff run last year. I think his spot is pretty safe, I'm sure if he looks bad in the season the team will take a long look at some players in Hamilton.

I am agreeing with you far too frequently tonight

True that his potential is unmatchable but he needs to play to his potential. As of now, he is pretty meh. But he has a contract.

I'm getting worried about special teams for this season.

I won't panic until I see the starting lineup together a half dozen times.

Not happy with the set up of the PP tonight. Not fully sure if it's because of the set up or the players though

Hard to get a read on them when we are always playing with split squads. The PP would look a lot different if Subban and Patches were available. The PK would look different if Bouillon was available... remember, I said different not better

Another soft pass by Eller... he has to learn to fire those cross ice passes like Markov does.

Why didn't Blunden just pass it to McCarron there?

McCarron has to be more aggressive on that forecheck.

No discrepancy for me. Reality is that both Pateryn and Thomas have had their chances. What they do with it is in their hands. And in the end, they'll be cut. Leblanc hasn't had the chance THIS YEAR to prove something. Hence my overreaction. Frankly, I wasn't even expecting Leblanc to make it from camp this year. Geez, I even wondered why he wasn't at at the rookie camp before people said that he couldn,t based on games played. But I didn't think he deserved to be directly at main camp due to past performances. But I'm personnally at the school of putting things behind and giving a fair chance to people based on the present moment. And after that regular camp, the present moment for Leblanc was his fine camp till the first preseason games.

Besides...Dietz was cut without really getting his fair chance either.....to then be called back and since then, he is showing some interesting stuff...obviously not enough to stay, but enough to be remembered if needed.

The idea is that if they would not have cut Leblanc in the first cuts....nobody would have been surprised by it. Nobody would have been outraged to see him survive the first cuts. But let's say it happens to MacAulay for example, wouldn't you be perplexed by it? Overreaction happened because I was interested to see what Leblanc would have done with it. Not because I was expecting him a regular job in the NHL right away.
