I thought Thomas played a much better game. His best of the pre-season. I let out a huge roar when he hit the post

He would have scored if bourque passed on that 2 on 1.
At this point I think he probably finishes second to Pacioretty in scoring with 60-70 points.

He is not NHL material as of right now, he will have to work his beind off to get a spot over here, he simply is not ready for this league.

Also, down the right side of the D it's Diaz>Nygren>Pateryn>=Dietz for me right now (Subban and Murray obviously understood to be permanent).
I think Murray will play the left side, won't he? I just don't see him having the ability to adapt well to his off side but maybe he has played he right side in the past. Subban, Diaz and Bouillon the right side until Emelin returns. Gorges, Markov and Murray on the left side... but who will be the extras with Drewiske injured.

Tinordi, Thomas , Bournival stick around. Send the rest back to their clubs and start preparing for Toronto.

Because people are being realistic.

He created tons of scoring chances that Bourque could not capitalize on.

I swear, some people make their decision that they don't like X player/contract, so any little error they make in a game gets nitpicked to no end, while all the things they do right gets shrugged off.

With three scoring lines rather than two, his opportunities might come along less often than with other teams. I would be happy with 50 - 55 points and ecstatic with 60 or more.

Trading him to the Rangers might be a nightmare for us. They should have at least given him camp and preseason, what was there to lose? It's not like Thomas addresses some kind of need for us.

Briere is going to get hated on a lot this season I take it. If he has an off night following a 3 point game it wouldn't matter

There's a layer of rust on that line due to lack of play, these veterans will be called upon in the exhibition games that are left and I am confident they will deliver.

Tinordi is going to be what Ryan O'Byrne never turned out to be. A big strong hard hitting defensemen. Hopefully I didn't jinx it

Gaston Therrien : No place for Tinordi on the left side! We have Markov-Gorges-Bouillon-Murray ready to start the year!

Tinordi with a great game. 3 highlight reel hits of which he drew 2 penalties and had one fight (fared well against a good fighter). He played well defensively and was only let down by 2 gaffes by Pateryn. Had Pateryn coughed up the puck on those two plays (albeit Price didn't help on the leave behind the net), Tinordi would have had a near perfect night.

He's a left shot, but I want to say I've seen a LOT of Murray on the right side. Probably best to play him on the left, though. It's crazy trying to make three pairings with this group of defense options, lol.

I see why he was acquired. Super quick/fast, and a blistering shot. If only he weren't tiny....

yeah Tinordi had a rough game tonight. I think he's trying to do a bit too much, reminds me of Komisarek quite a bit during his 2nd season. He'll get burned a lot in the 2nd half of the season if he doesn't settle down.

Briere was dangerous as always. Rough game for Plekanec and Eller too.

McCarron skates a lot like Keith Primeau!

St. Pierre had the best all around game for forwards.

Everything is going right for Bournival, hopefully he doesn't let it get to his head.

Very very good game for Markov-Diaz paring tonight.

Monster player of the game: Jared Tinordi!

Tinordi will be the reason for many Pierre McGuire orgasms in the future.
