Yea, bar seems to have been set pretty low after that. Pretty sure Daly even came out and said that it was circumvention but that they had no plans to do anything.

Kipper signed that contract before all those rules were made - can't fault the Flames on that.

This is what the haters posts boil down to at the end of the day. Lucky point leech who fails when facing good players. Both assertions demonstrably false and pitiful beyond words.

No doubt.

It sure seems like Gagner has had a lot of "lucky" 25+ game periods in his career.

The Bruins' off-season documentaries put Oil Change to shame. Very insightful, very behind-the-scenes, and no wishy-washy BS that you see from Oil Change. Those tough, difficult conversations are showed.

3:20 onwards shows discussions on Ference, Seguin, Horton, etc.

I'll be honest: I watched the whole thing.

Ya you're right Gagner really stepped up as a leader and carried the team down the stretch run when the going got tough...

And yet Gagner has been closer to the NHL playoffs than any of our superstars.

Do you mean that he actually flew to watch a few of the games?

I guess someone wasn't an oilers fan in 2008.

TBH, that's filled with the same fluff that Oil Change has. That whole segment on Erikkson finding an apartment, visiting the Arena, etc is pure Oil Change.

The one thing I really liked was showing Chiarelli's last conversation with Horton's agent and the conversation on whether Seguin fits in or not.

Sure I will give Gagner and his -21 rating that season full credit for the Oilers finishing tied for 8th-11th in the West the year.

Been an Oilers fan since I could walk. Took a few years off to follow Gretzky in LA after he was dealt.

Yeah true I didn't even watch that part. But those meetings by management/staff beforehand were crazy cool to watch.

So a large chunk of NHL players seem think that the Oilers are poised to become a dominant powerhouse.

http://blogs.edmontonjournal.com/201...rvey-predicts/

Well, it would be nice if we saw some players tripping over themselves to join the Oilers. Just a thought.

I wouldn't call 13/29 players a large chunk.

But agreed, it would be nice to get some quality veterans who want to play here.

It's a pretty large chunk considering that the other teams weren't even in the conversation. The Oilers were pretty much the unanimous answer.

ESPN's list of top 100 players: http://espn.go.com/nhl/notebook/_/pa...rank_forwards/

Did Yakupov's celebrations bother the media that much to not even rank him?!?!

Anyone else watching Tor-Buf shootout, what the hell was that Ranger LOL.

Goaltending clinic, shooters are 0-20ish so far.

This is awesome, better not delay the game though.

This has to be the longest a shootout has ever went without a goal.
