I wouldn't do that.

I meant to insinuate he'd just be apart of a package, not necessarily the centerpiece.

No. Not even close.

You get a slightly overpriced gritty vet to replace his toughness and a first round potential top 9 forward project in Leblanc. And for all the hate he's gotten on here lately, only has 6 less goals at the NHL level than Kassian lol
That is just horrible dude..

Thats nice we don't want to trade him.

Solid proposal I would have to think about this.

All the insults and attacks I took because I don't believe they hype that just because we traded a skilled player it means Kassian will bring skill in return. He's a grinder, nothing more. Completely lacks hockey IQ, has poor and slow decision making.

When I first heard about the trade i was surprised Gillis didn't lose his job. Now the fans are questioning what he's worth-answer, not much at all. Homers will be enamored with his potential but buyers will just look at his body of work which is not very impressive.

He is nothing like Bernier. Read back into that same thread, and you'll see many posters point out why.

It's no coincidence you show up in the Canucks boards (not this thread), in the Kassian thread, trying to convince Canuck fans how bad he is... just after he breaks Gagner's jaw, while you being an Oilers fan.

I never said anything about Kassian on the Canucks board, rather I was just curious on the stigma of "PWFs needing more time to develop" that gets passed around by the hockey media.

Because he's tough, but he is always a step behind just like Bernier was, misses easy chances just like Bernier did, lacks hand eye coordination just like Bernier did, can float just as well as Bernier, he actually finishes way less checks than Bernier, scored way less in junior than Bernier. but no he's better than Bernier right?

I'd love to get him on the Pens, he's the PF prospect that we need. A 3rd line of Jokinen-Sutter-Kassian would be sweet. Would something around Dumoulin (7.0 B, big 2-way D prospect, very close if not NHL ready) and a pick for Kassian work?

Kassian = cheap-shot goon.
Value . . . nil

Mmmm, a "jawbreaker" and three pieces of gum?

Honestly though, Kassian would be wonderful in Montreal but we'd have to move forwards out of our top-9 to make room and none of the young ones are available for trade IMO.

If Van is looking for scoring help, I'd do something around Bourque for Kassian.

Not a fan of this kid, the best thing the Sabres did was fleece the Canucks and get Hodgson. Just hearing him talk, it's like he's missing a few hundred brain cells.

Not sure what his value is, but he's starting to play like his non-related Kassian. Hell he probably will end up having a longer NHL career than Z.

Uh, hell no. NO.

I'd rather have Kuhnhackl develop that side of his game than move anything of value for him. GOod god, first that stupid Halak trade thread and now this...lol

I like how that one dude says no for Colborne, lol...Leafs would be getting ripped off and the Nucks side say no. GO figure?

I'd rather see Shero trade for Tangradi again.

Kassian's value is at an all time low, so anything posted would probably just be considered an insult by most Canuck fans who still hold out hope on him. Granted he is 22, but I don't think he really has what it takes to make a major impact in the league. I could be wrong, but at this rate, he's looking like a fringe bottom 6er.

I really appreciate all the input.

I haven't seen Kassian much at all but am surprised to see his value so low considering the talk he may play alongside the Sedin's this year.

It's tough to predict what sort of player Kassian will be at this point, he obviously is a versatile kid with a ton of potential, but he hasn't played much at this point in his career and it could go in a lot of directions. Give it til the Olympic break at least, it will be much clearer what kind of player Kassian is after a couple months of regular NHL games.

Is he as good as Hodgson? Definitely not, but I think he'll be a good player.

I think he's the forward version of all those horrible BIG Dmen who are always the "Next Chara" and can't even crack the NHL. He was drafted in hopes of being the next Milan Lucic but he will never be that. Ever.

He's a stupid player with a bad work ethic, very little actually skill and is a "big name" because he was a large player that was drafted high.

I would hope any of "my" teams would avoid acquiring him for more than a bag of pucks so that he can dominate/injure other AHL teams in the minors.

Note:
I've literally never heard anyone say he's good without mentioning his size. Chara is good regardless of size. So is Lucic and all those other good players. This guy has nothing but size.

Lol what an awful post. Kassian makes some really sick passes, he's got sweet hands and has good speed. He has yet to have the opportunity to play a full season and the NHL level, this year will be his first and we will see what he is made of. He's got a lot of work to do but IMO he's going to be a solid 3rd or 4th winger.

This would be selling low, he has more value to Canucks than in trade market.
