Pretty close to an opening night roster there, depending on Gionta/Murray/Parros' status.

Move Gallagher with Plekanec, Bournival with Eller, and move Prust on the 4th Line, to be upgraded As Needed.

Won't have a lineup for the Devils until later.

Forwards: Dainius Zubrus, Stephen Gionta, Adam Henrique, Jacob Josefson, Michael Ryder, Steve Bernier, Krys Barch, Tim Sestito, Rostislav Olesz, Cam Janssen, Rod Pelley, Stefan Matteau, Mike Sislo."

Apparently him and Brodeur are still holding their yearly contest to see who scores more goals.

Usually it's a draw.

Yea that line-up sounds better to me.

I doubt Bournival will get to do much tonight while playing with Moen and White.

The current lineup is very strong defensively but your way would open up the offense a bit. I wonder how many people will complain about Plekanec's playmaking with those wingers.

Guys, I have to confess.

I haven't watched a preseason game yet.

I'll be watching the football game tonight so I'll flip back to the game for updates.

It's a more accurate projection of where he would likely be playing if he actually did make the team, though. So it makes sense.

I say we open the game tilted toward offense and puck possession, only to move to the defensive if our D can't keep up with them.

Otherwise, our D should withstand whatever get past Eller and Plek

Yup.

And I for one am curious to see how he does in a 4th line center role.

Yea that's true, but I'd rather he gets sent down to Hamilton to play on the 1st or 2nd line instead of playing on the 4th line in Montreal.

Let guys like Moen, White, Prust and Parros stay on the 4th line and call up Bournival if we have an injury in our top-9.

Most of the Habs' starters are playing tonight, while the Devils are definitely missing a lot of theirs. Wonder what that means for tonight's game.

A line of Prust-Bournival-Moen would be an incredible 4th line that could play 10 minutes a game of solid hockey and score a bit too. That's a very dangerous 4th line.

Probably what we'll see if Gionta isn't ready for the opener. Therrien did the same thing last year.

Because he's good defensively without being a slug offensively, just for now while Gionta's out.

Agreed. It's a great mix of size, skill and toughness. A young player like Bournival can only add more energy to the line as well, and maybe some extra scoring.

Gionta says he is ready to go, Parros was skating without the non-contact jersey, Murray is skating and Emelin is skating in full gear (though he is still a ways away).

Seems like everything is coming together nicely. Hopefully this is a strong showing against a weak lineup and there is no gooning and no injuries.

All 3 of the players on the 4th line better be going hard with Gionta and Parros getting healthy
