Lucia has been out of sight, out of mind. Played in the BCHL where nobody could see him. Was hurt last year so couldn't put up big point totals, and also wasn't he hurt when they played U of M? Plus can't take part in training camp because he's a college player.

No, he was there against Minnesota. Had a nice moment before the game when Mario joined his dad and brother to honor Don's 600 career wins.

Minnesota-Notre Dame did come just a few days after the WJC, though.

He's so happy to be FRB's #6 prospect!

Edit: Also, I remember taking that screen-grab of Phillips' epic playoff beard. Glad to see GS still has it saved.

Couldn't remember who took it or why I had that picture. Might as well get some use out of it.

#5 is Erik Haula (or) an argument why his growth last year was amazing.

Or it's just that I watched a lot of Minnesota games and blabbed on about the Gophers because that is how I roll.

Still can't Believe how Haula was drafted that low

6th round value pick that's now a top-10 goalie prospect! Sweet.

And Minnesota got that pick from Edmonton for Kyle Brodziak. Throw in both Haula and getting Nick Leddy and Matt Hackett for moving down 4 spots (yes I know we don't have either of them at the moment...sorry for opening that can of worms) and that was a good Draft value-wise.

Keeping Leddy would have pushed us over our "Minnesota native" quota.

Great list, IMO--very accurate.

Only question I have is Haula. Only watched him play three times, so dont preted to
know his game well--hi profile university program graduate but as a pro:
0 goals in 6 AHL games last year.
0 goals in 4 Traverse City games
0 goals in 2 exhibition games this year(AHL).

Trust your judgement, just would like to see him get of to a good start.

You mean 2 points in 6 games for the AHL last year. And then 2 points in 5 games in the playoffs. Check your stats, brah.

#1.5 (because counting to 20 is tough) is El Nino - Nino Niederreiter.

I'm interested to know if this was a pre-determined list (completed list when you started) or if Nino's ranking was based after seeing him play here.

Nino was always a part of a two-man tier at the top.
