Yeah I think Laughton + maybe a 2nd for Gormley would be beneficial to both teams. Laughton has 2nd line 2-way center potential and Gormley has 2nd pairing 2-way defenseman potential. Gormley is probably more polished in his development at this point which is why the flyers likely add a pick.

Someone mentioned that the yotes weren't in need of a C though so idk. What's the coyotes depth chart look like at c? I'd think Laughton would at least be able to slip into their #3 spot, no?

I'd offer Nikolai Kulemin.

I don't really think Gormley looks all that polished. He just got sent down to the minors again.

Yeah but the coyotes also have a pretty solid blue line, and Gormley is still only 21. Maybe polished was the wrong word to use. Perhaps more experienced at the pro level is a more accurate description.

Habs say no. I'd do picks or prospects with Bourque, but I doubt Phoenix would be interested.

Some low-ball offers in here.

2nd + Stempniak? Coyotes need a winger right? That pick should be around 30-35 and Stemps should be able to put up 40 points.

Coyotes tried stempniak before. No interest in revisiting that one.

Dont want to give up what could amount to basically a first rounder.

I would maybe do a 2nd alone for Gormley.

56 Points, 33 Goals in 100 Games. Seems like he fit pretty well to me.

It would need to be a bigger deal for me to be interested.

I'd be willing to trade Eller + Leblanc for Gormley + Dauphin.

With our new GM I don't see either Eller and especially Leblanc staying around here for that long and it's too bad. I would of been happy with a line of AK/Eller/ Leblanc but obviously that's not going to happen. It's about moving on.

That's just plain bad, man. He's worth at least his draft position again. He's a potential top pairing d-man that's nearly NHL ready.

I'm not sure any of the roster players that Montreal would be ok with giving up would particularly interest Phoenix.
Also not sure what other habs fans would think of this, or how even the value is, but what about something based around Collberg(+?)?

Stempniak requested the trade out of Phoenix. He didn't think he was getting the PP time he deserved under Tippett.

He isn't, really. Some Yotes HFers are just being a little premature with wanting to move Gormley after not being able to make the team out of camp.

He shot percentage was something like 33% when we first got him, which is clearly unsustainable. He also did absolutely nothing in the playoffs.

I'd rather do Puempel+ but I doubt the Yotes would do that. Not even sure they would do Stone straight up because Gormley is a bigger name and people will claim he has higher potential because of his draft position even though Stone was a standout at the World Juniors and led the AHL Sens in scoring this past season.

Gaudreau has the odds stacked against to survive in the NHL.

I say we just keep Gormley and let him get well seasoned in the minors. If one of Miele, Lessio, or Domi can make an impact in the NHL this year then we will have a TON of depth at forward and wont need to make a move to acquire another top 9 player.

The only player that should be on his way out of the desert is Klesla, and not because hes a bad player, but because we have so much depth on the back end as well. We could likely get a 2nd rounder for him and save a bit of money, then come the trade deadline we will make some moves if needed.

This is probably the best and deepest roster we have ever had and while I will be the first to admit that I like to goof around with trades, we are sitting really pretty.

Boedker - Ribeiro - Doan
Lessio/Domi/Miele - Hanzal - Vrbata
Korpikoski - Vermette - Moss
Klinkhammer/Brown - Chipchura/Brule - Yip/Szwarz
Bissonnette

OEL - Michalek
Yandle - Morris
Schlemko - Stone
Rundblad, Summers

Smith
Greiss

Ill take that diversity any day.

I disagree.. Kreider + pick.

Then look to deal MDZ in a deal for a top 6 forward.

Why would Phoenix trade him? I don't get it. Klesla is in his last season as a Coyote. Morris only has a few miles left in him. Spots will open up. He should be a full time NHL player as soon as next season.
