Nystrom-Gaustad-Hendricks

But if the kid can force his way into the lineup that's even better. Either way, I still think that's a definite upgrade over the way the team ended last season.
3 rightys on the same forward line. I don't see that happening. I still think the so called top line will be Horny/Fisher/Wilson with Smith/Cullen/Stalberg being the so called second line. I can see them sticking with Bourque/Legwand/Forsberg though for our 3rd line.

With the way Watson and Beck have played I hate to see them sent down but I don't see how they make the team with the Nystrom/Hendricks signings. To bad we signed Nystrom and didn't move Gaustad. I personally wouldn't mind having our 4th line be Watson/Spaling/Hendricks/Clune combos for the season.

As average as Hendricks has looked in the preseason so far his playstyle will pick up a bit in the regular season and he will show why he was signed. He is also a really good shootout guy and that is something we can use.

That's not how it works, unless there's an agreement in the contract (for example, Ekholm's first year in North America).

There is an agreement and this will be his last year on that contract with Leksands. If that contract didn't exist I think there would be a chance he would be sent to the AHL but I don't think the Predators feel he has more to learn by playing back there at all.

I just hope Moser goes ahead and signs with us and isnt snapped up by another team...

Im thinking once teams get down to their final cuts, someone is going to realize they could use a PK/3rd line C and offer us a mid pick for Spaling... (at least I hope so... at least one of the three of Beck/Spaling/Smith have to go away or be sent down.)

I agree about Moser.

I've never thought Spaling was a 3rd line center. He's a pk machine, though.

Forsberg misses practice for lower body injury. Won't be in lineup Tuesday.

Hey all, Isles fan coming in peace. Can anyone who saw the last pre-season game live, tell me how Nilsson looked for the Islanders? Thanks.

So I'm guessing Forsberg wasn't even going to play the Caps Wednesday. Dang.

Can we do a trade back, please? Erat isn't even going to play in the Caps top 6.

I agree I kept seeing this #10 in the mix and had to look him up.

Both Nashville goals were "skill" shots, and Nilsson was not egregiously at fault. Most of the time he was not tested with a ton of traffic around him. It was probably a B- or a C+ performance.

Rinne was #1 star, but that's just sentimentality. Hutton actually faced far more traffic and difficult shots in his 20 min. of work.

Same here. He did make a pretty good impression.

Guy next to me said, "Wait a minute, I forgot, that's not Erat..who is that?" Honestly, except for the fact that he wasn't spinning around I'd forgotten it wasn't him, too.

How do you pronounce "Cehlin" anyway? "See' lin" , "Sell' in", "Kell' in" or something else entirely?

One thing I love and hate about this team is that our third line is about as good as our first.

Tomorrow vs. Tampa Bay, barring unforeseen changes

OUT: Forsberg (minor injury), Smith, Spaling and Beck...

more as I hear it.

We will get our first looks at home, at Wilson, Stalberg, Nystrom, Gaustad, Fisher and Hornqvist...

Can't tell you lines other than Clune and Hendricks will flank Gaustad.

Fenton in a interview tonight on Simon Moser : Moser - 'very good hockey player'. Talking to him about possibly staying over here. In an Olympic year, he may want to stay in Switzerland....but it's a work in progress.

Forsberg's injury a good opportunity for Moser tomorrow night vs. TB

Moser will skate with Legwand and Bourque

Wilson, Cullen, Hornqvist

Nystrom, Fisher, Stalberg

Clune, Gaustad, Hendricks

All I can say is why??? Makes no sense to put Stalberg with Nystrom.

ITA They need to flip Stalberg and Hornqvist. Nystrom Fisher Hornqvist would work better.

The Urinal Line..... as in "they move roughly as fast as the men's room line on the main concourse during first intermission".
