That whole Erixon situation still makes me laugh. Ditches Calgary, pisses them off. Then comes to NY says he wants to play here for a long time and we ship him off to Columbus.
I really don't think its that funny. I didn't like that he skated off the ice in that philly pre season game when everyone dropped the gloves. But his father was a ranger and i believed the kid really wanted to play here.
I guess it's his cockiness that made me think the way I did. It's usually not incredibly hard to shake a guy like that's confidence.
I believe that his cockiness is what had him have such a down year before being traded. I think he didn't train too hard in the off season. Just took it all for granted. Doesn't make sense how someone can fall off that bad
