I had no idea Ashton could fight. He's bulked up the last couple years and it shows.

Ashton is a monster, the kid has earned a spot on the roster this year.

I wouldn't put much emphasis on this fight. Ott is a horrible fighter. I'm not sure I've ever seen him win a fight. He just holds on until he's taken down.

Definitely. He's shown much more than Colborne. I hope he makes the 4th line and can work his way through the lineup.

Ashton can handle himself. He does not fight too often, but he can drop the gloves when needed.

Ashton surprised me in this one, he's not a fighter that Biggs is to use him as a comparable late 1st rd pick.

Though Ott is not a heavyweight by any stretch, Ashton did well here.

Been telling the Leafs board to be patient with Ashton for awhile now, would be fun to dig up that Ashton thread this summer. He was close to being a certifiable bust if you read some of the posts in that thread. I thought he was one of our best fwds since coming back from injury in the AHL playoffs. Not surprised he is close to making the Leafs this year.

Man did Ashton ever bulk up. Kid looks huge now, he used to look so skinny on the ice.

Excited for his future as a 3rd/4th liner.

They have an older, fatter version of him in Rick Jeanneret.
