Happy! But I'll be happier when the wins matter more than the talent evaluation. Specifically, keep Tinordi up. Please?

White (way to go!!).

Potential to be a Prust in a year or two (if can be a tad more composed sometimes...I'm definitely a fan of his warrior ways!).

Oct.1st:
Prust-White-Parros
Moen?

(maybe Orr and McLaren won't be there...so Moen might be IN VS Parros). We definitely need Parros against Sabres' Scott!!!

Nothing. Possibly the worst forward on the team at making himself available as a passing option. Briere is a close second when he's hiding behind the goal line with multiple defenders between him and the puck. Both guys seem to actually skate into or with defenders when our defensemen are trying to move the puck up the ice.

That last move by Pacioretty almost justified buying a Vpump. Too bad he didn't get the hattrick on this play

It would be awesome to see Patches break the 70 point barrier, he's been real good.

Eller was brutal tonight. He has defaulted to unloading the puck as soon as he gets it and its usually to no one or to someone wearing the Devils uniform.

Without the puck, not much that Chuckie can do.

Diaz must go. I see people claiming he did good. He was bad all game. No physical presence, average defensive play at best, no offensive spark, even Tinordi had more offense than Diaz tonight with his nice wrist shots through traffic. Diaz (and Deharnais to the same extent) have to go. I don't mind Brière as much as Desharnais, Brière is faster, better defensively, chippier, a better goal scorer, and clutch... and as good of a playmaker. Brière is not ideal, but he's a better player than Desharnais by a mile.

One bad play on the PK.

He more than made up for it with White's goal.

I have no idea why people hate Ryan White.

Look at 'em for chrissakes! He's miles ahead of Moen in terms of usefulness.

Sure those bad penalties were really really bad last year but at least they came from over spirited play.

You take away those bad moves and you got a crazy as s#$t 4th liner who has pretty decent offense and is a great face off guy.

Still don't get the Bourque hate either. His line wasn't the greatest but he looked like the better one on it.

Either way preseason or not, a win against the stingy as F#$@ Devils is always a good sign.

Agree regarding White.

Bourque can be a damned good player when he is engaged and not simply skating up and down the ice.

Dare I suggest trying to play Galchenyuk between Bournival and Gallagher? Give them some sheltered minutes a la 2012-13, and move Eller up to play more with vets like Bourque and Briere. just for now to see how it pans out. Eller might just be building his confidence up again after his last experience, but he's seemed lost the past couple of games.

This.

Hopefully it doesn't take long for these two to rekindle past chemistry.

Anyone have a clip or a gif of Pacioretty's dangle at the end?

yeah I need a video of that move post haste!

Maybe all that stick handling he was trying last year is finally starting to stick.

He pretty much taught himself to be a sniper 3 years into his pro career. Why not a stick handler too?

Add that to his arsenal and he's one scary scary player.

I wonder if Dumont even gets an opportunity to win a spot. If Bournival hasn't earned a roster spot, it essentially means the rosters are predetermined regardless of camp.

While Bournival had a pretty good game too.

I'll admit that White has won some points and that the fact that he is on a one-way contract gives him the edge. But securing the spot? Maybe a little too soon IMO.

hummm, no just no...

Briere Prust and Bourque were by far the worst players on the ice today....

BTW they should try Galchenyuk with Plekanec and Gionta and move Bourque on the 3rd..

NO WAY Tinordi and Bournival are send to Hamilton.... Tinordi offence is very underrated!
Damn that Bournival kid is fast!

Hopefully Bournival stays with the big club for a while longer. He has done everything he could have to earn a spot on this team. It would be really disappointing to see him sent down at this point.

I suspect Pacioretty learned some techniques from teammates around him. Cammy gave him sniper tips. Cole gave him the tips on how to rehab and use his speed and power. Not sure who is giving these dekeing lessons to Pacioretty though...

Tinordi, Pacioretty, Subban and Price stood out. The rest were kind of meh. Preseason is preseason.
