Saw some positives out of Max Hall - this may be a guy the Bombers want hang onto and develop. Darian Durant wasn't all that exceptional, but the Riders have stuck through it with him, and now look at the payoff.

There will a surfeit of talent available this off-season prior to the draft as the entire league tries to get something valuable for players instead of losing them to Ottawa - the Bombers and their fans will have to suffer through the balance of this year, but with Bellefueille as the new HC (come on, who doesn't see this coming?) some better Canadian talent, and a game experienced Max Hall, next year doesn't look so bad.

I don't get this talk about waiting for free agents.

The expanasion draft is Monday December 16, 2013 free agency is in Feb I believe.

Say Ottawa takes Collaros, Willy & Tate so who exactly are we going to sign ?

We need to get these QB's now before the Oct trade deadline or your going into next year with a very underwhelming Hall

First, Ottawa can only take 2 QB's. Second even if they do take let's say 2 of those guys and Collaros+Willy has their contract expiring, why would they sign to be behind the other one when they could wait for FA and go to Winnipeg with no competition.

Also, there's 2/3 weeks AFTER season and before expansion draft, so don't be surprised if we don't make a move before deadline. Why would TOR/CGY/SSK/BC etc give up their depth right before a playoff run?

I realize it's unrealistic to think Ott would sign all three, but they'll own 2 of the players rights if they draft them in the expansion draft and it would give them plenty of time to get them signed. They likely will have low payroll in other positions and will be able to afford to sign both short term at least.

These teams are about to lose these guys for nothing they are free agents because they knew this was coming and they had to expose players. I would make a big pitch for these guys now, I would mortagae some of the future.

So, as a FA QB, even if my rights are grabbed by Ottawa, what's stopping me from waiting, then signing with whoever I want in February?

And if you were a FA QB, what team would you rather go to - Winnipeg or Ottawa? Honest question. Neither could be too much further ahead than the other, and 2-3 yrs away from legit playoff run.

Teams looking for a young quality QB (now, or in near future): Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Montreal - and to a lesser degree Toronto and Hamilton.

Not sure Winnipeg or Ottawa would be high on my list.

Considered turning on the game but decided against. It's been a long week at work and I'm in a pretty good mood looking forward to listening to the Jets game and didn't want to damper that.

Who would have figured they would have come back with a TD? Baby steps...

At least they didn't fold 1 minute in to the game. Time to take DeMarco out and bring Buck in...

True Dat Silver. I had season tickets as a teenager when Richard Crump was in the backfield of the Bombers (with Deiter as the QB). Don't plan to head to "Losers Group Field" until there is a damned good reason to...

Haven't stepped foot in there myself either, although I did drive by once and by "drive by" I mean on the South perimeter and that was close enough.

After I got home, it took a 30 min hot shower just to get the stink off me...

hall is one of the worst bb qb;s ever

hall needs to find another line of work, every pass hes thrown has either been picked or almost picked

How does Burke remain employed? He looks completely overwhelmed on the sideline.

hard to get on offence when your defence keeps scoring

This is stupid. The team is regressing week to week. Clearly the people currently in charge are not the answer.

IMO, nobody currently in charge should be with the team to start the season next year.
