Forsberg to Mtl ??

Look at TSN's ice chips : Forsberg is listed in the montreal canadiens category... Maybe they already know something we don't

Montreal Canadiens: Flyers captain Peter Forsberg was scratched from the lineup. He missed practice on Tuesday because of a stiff lower back and is day to day. Forsberg was injured when he hit the boards during Monday's loss to Pittsburgh. He slipped into the boards when his ailing right foot, which has caused him so much trouble this season, gave way. The team continues to search for a solution for Forsberg's surgically repaired right foot. - Phillyburbs.com

I've seen Ottawa's, Calgary's and Montreal's before.

Actually, you're usually right, they have Toronto's projected line-up posted more often than most other teams, but I'm assuming it's because they're a Toronto-based media organization, and they have personnel at the Toronto practices. The line-ups that they display in ice-chips are never definite, those are just the lines that are iced at the practices, from what I understand. Montreal and Ottawa have their line-ups posted there pretty often too, but not as often as Toronto, cuz they have more staff in Toronto. I don't think it has anything to do with bias, its just a matter of geography and personnel, and what gets reported to the head office by that personnel.

How hard can it be to get their sister station RDS to update them with the lineups on gameday?

Lame as usual, TSN hearts TO, what else is new

We play against Philly saturday, that's why it's under the habs category. In other words, it means that Forsberg probably won't face the habs.

nope...it is a typo...becuase regardless of WHO they are playing, flyers news should be under Philadelphia Flyers. It is news concerning THEIR team...not the Habs

Forsberg has been hurt all year (surprise). The rumor in Philly is that he might retire. I doubt he would come here.

Considering that Ice Chips seems to be put together pretty haphazardly, like tidbits that come in through the wire that are assembled quickly without much refining, I'm not gonna gripe about the fact that they get more info about the team in the city in which most of their personnel are based. Montreal and Ottawa get very regular updates in Ice Chips, more than the Western-based teams at least.
Oh wait, what am I doing, sorry, I was being logical there for a minute, silly me, how about this: "TSN and all Toronto media are EVIL! Oh my God, we're such victims of the system! Poor us!". Whew, there, now I feel much better.
Seriously though, TSN puts up these updates everyday, and has a lot of interesting and accurate (I stress ACCURATE) info that you can't find anywhere else on the net. I say kudos to the Ice Chips team, whoever they may be, and may the sun shine favourably on them and their children... even if they are evil Torontonians.

Habs should aim for Ruutu or Vermette instead. After watching the Chi/Cal game the other night Ruutu is the real deal. This guy has been playing most of the season with a couple of stiffs but he is on the verge of breaking out big time!

He has size, skates like the wind, PK and PP specialists. Only a coupld of decent offensive linemates away from being a star

if i was a montreal fan, i wouldn't want to see forsberg coming to my team, he is hurt more then he plays, and the young talent you would have to give up for him would likely be crazy, montreal is having a good year so far, why mess with a good thing?

He should retire!!! What good is he if he isn't around when the team needs him the most. He'll come back after xmas....score a bunch of points and then get hurt and be out for the last half of the season and likely miss the playoffs....if philly can even make the playoffs.

I would never take a guy like Forsberg on my team because of all the problems he would cause. You just get guys working together and use to playing with each other and then he gets hurt....then you have to make new lines and just when they start to gel...Forsberg comes back and disruppts everything again. He's just not worth the hassle.
Sure he's good when he is healthy.....but he is only healthy for 30 games a year.
