Who do you cheer for?

Who is the player for whom you cheer the most, you want him to do well every night, and you hope he is the one who scored when you see the puck in the net.

I am NOT asking who do you think is the best, but who is your guy.

For me Perez!
Wait for the poll, will take a while
Unfortunately I can only have 15 players in the poll

I'll vote when the polls comes but I cheer for Saku because frankly he deserves it.

I really don't care who scores. They're all with our club, and I hope they all do well. I cheer equally hard for every player when they score, even if I dislike them (Kovalev).

- Higgins
- Latendresse
- Johnson

The first two because it's nice to see them gain confidence each time they score a goal and Johnson simply because he rocks .

It was Kostitsyn while he was with us, mostly because that was the way I was with watching him play for Hamilton during the lockout year. Now I guess it's Kovalev so I hope he catches a hot streak, but in reality it's no one imparticular because this whole season I've been watching how much the players have progressed from the game before. Or if they find themselves in a similar situation from the game before when the screwed up I try to see how they react to the situation coming up again and if they learned their mistake.

Komisarek, Higgins, and Ryder always seem to learn from their mistakes, where as Kovalev, Niinimaa and Markov never do. Not that Markov makes many mistakes, but he doesn't really learn from the ones he does make. Try watching a game from this perspective for a few weeks, it might seem like you're just watching the game normally the first few times but after a few games you'll see how many of the same situations come up for each player. Note those situations and see how well they do the next time it comes up!

edit: by 'mistake' i don't mean a huge blunder or highlight reel f-up, i mean certain things like where they put their sticks during certain plays or where their skates are planted during other plays. little things that make up the game

I like Samsonov a lot, but I'm sad about him not doing much for the team. Same for Kovalev. And as much as he's good I am not a big fan of Huet, he does very good and he's at this point "indispensable" for the Habs but I like Aebisher better, even thought he do not perform at the level he should.

Finally I think I like chokers.

Honestly I tried to limit my choices but I find many reasons to cheer for them all, so that's my choice! If I can't find a reason enough to cheer them on, all it takes is a look at the crest on the jersey, I'd cheer harder for some but nonetheless I'm cheering hard for all of them.

Sure Koivu went throught a lot with his cancer thing but I don't think he's a good fit as the Habs first center and Captain. Habs would benefit a lot if they could count on anyone else.

I voted for Johnson, because he's all I ever wanted from a Habs player. ALWAYS gives 100% of himself and is a team player! Following these criterias, I also could have voted for Begin or Saks.... definitely not for Kovalev though... MY opinion...

Koivu, Latendresse, Higgins, Perezhogin, Aebischer, Komisarek. When I wanna be sarcastic as hell I cheer for Jane Niinimaa.

lats... most hab followers see him as the next great one or something, it would suck if he became the brunt of critisism if he never became a star.

The Habs are my 2nd favourite team, so even if I am primarily a leafs fan I'll answer this question as I cheer for the team often enough...

Markov
Koivu
Rivet
And to a lesser degree Johnson.

Their the only players that really stand out as guys I'm fans of (Especially Markov).

Beyond that I'm pretty much neutral on everyone else besides Kovalev and Komisarek, neither of whom I care much for.

I like cheering for the underdog no one believes in. Last year it was Higgins but it didn't take long for that bandwagon to fill up and the Latendresse bandwagon has no vacancy.

Now I'm cheering for Perez and keep hoping he can give us a bit more. Altough he is playing well I expect big things from him like I did from Higgins.
