No vision? You mean like the pass he made to Nygren that led to the first goal? Sounds like a lot of straw grasping here.

He needs some work, but he can definitely make it in a few years. I see alot of potential in Dietz.

I've been pleased with him, especially since he just got to play now. I always forget how good a skater he is. So smooth.

Bournival is the best forward prospect now for making the team or first call up. I wonder if he can become a Carbonneau type player by becoming a premier shutdown center.

Tinordi having some issues but he also doesn't have the best partner with so much rookies playing. He'll do better playing with a vet.

And Tarnasky, I really like him, If Moen continues to do nothing I think he could be a really good replacement.

how can you judge the level of readyness of young D with that kind of line-up??? in a regular season game, with a normal D roster (let's say Subban, Gorges, Markov, Bouillon, Diaz or Murray, i have no problem filling the sixth spots with either Pateryn, Tinordi or Beaulieu, and i'd say, in that particular situation, Nygren and Dietz could do ok on a short term bases....

of course, when Diaz is your veteran on the blue line? it's much harder to look good

After two periods, Gallagher has zero shots. Galchenyuk has zero shots.

Two of our best forwards with ZERO shots.

Is that acceptable?

The last game against the Devils.

Galchenyuk with zero shots.

You think this might be an issue with his center? Or did Chuckie forget how to play hockey?

Cant blame Blunden for this.....

Can we stop about the pre season thing? We all know the season hasn't started yet. I'm just asking how can he fix his game before oct. 1. That's what preseason games are made for.

Dietz having a tough go around tonight, although must not forget that he and Tinordi are playing Ottawa's first line. Out of all the guys, the one that impressed me the most (except Bournival) has to to be Dietz. Kid's got poise. Just has to work on mobility to ensure himself that one day he will play in the show. Tinordi was was able to do it, hoping Dietz works hard on it.

And man, I love Brolieu. Kid plays it out effortlessly, Diaz currently holds his spot but let's wait it out till trade deadline day.

Suprised by Beaulieu -- playing rather well for a guy who's not in gameshape.

Bournival plays great as well.

On the other hand... Eller and Blunden are cringe-worthy.

And why the $)*% did Moen dropped Claessen? Show he could still fight?!?!?!

I'm glad others notice. This is definitely something about eller that he needs to work on.

I hope Therrien is noticing the loss of two forwards on one line.

Pleks needs to center Chuckie and Gally.

K dude, relax, pre season means absolutely nothing! Don't even begin to analyze it. Even if Crosby has 0 shots it doesn't matter. Once season starts, he will be ready. This stuff happens every year

Yeah. That way our best checking center can get murdered at even strength. Excellent

I'd really like to see that as well, if only for next game.
Besides, Bournival needs a shot in the Top-9, if only for one preseason guy, as it's becoming quite obvious he'll start the season here.

Except that we have seen Gallagher and Galchenyuk also see some shifts with St.Pierre and Bournival and they haven't done anything more than with Eller. It's preseason. Players are still getting in the groove of things.

yeah you could expect that from Crosby, not by a 19 year old and a 21 year old with only around 48 games experience in this league

I'm almost hoping Galchenyuk is injured. He really looks slow out there.

I wish they'd play Galchenyuk at center already he seems to play much better there.

It's Eller's fault Galchenyuk is still an inconsistent kid.

I never once said they were good in this game, it's just in my opinion, eller needs to use his line mates more. Look at last year near the end of the year eller would try to be Malkin and skate around the offensive zone 2 times before shooting or losing the puck.
