Bournival is NHL ready or at least very close to it. Considering the situation right now and the fact that Gionta is set to be back, he would benefit to get a lot of playing time in Hamilton more than being an extra forward in Montreal. If he keeps playing the way he did, he will be back very soon in Montreal anyway.
Tinordi needs to stay, especially if Murray can't start the season. However, I don't want him to be the 7th defenseman.
In case you were wondering, fear not. Budaj is signed through next year as well.
I have never been a Budaj fan...and it has nothing to do with tonight.
I don't like his quickness or his rebound control.
he reminds me of Halak in that he can't track the puck around the crease area very well.
I think Bournival will be the only rookie on this team....Tinordi is very close and will get some call ups this year Better to give him 20+'mins a night in the AHL than 8-10 minutes in the NHL. Patience.
Oh no our AHL defence and backup goalie and prospect forwards didn't win the game!! Price's fault for not forcing Therrien's hand to play every pre-season game. He would've lost it anyway letting 3-10 softies and 2 own goals but he at least should've tried that bum. We were too soff too. More fighters.
True, but it's also fair to say that none of those 3 should be considered "veterans" yet and they should still be trying to impress.
Perhaps, but I think that they're very well aware that their spots are secured. Bournival is not going to make Therrien sit out any of those guys. So it's kind of normal for them to simply not have the foot pressing all the way down on the pedal.
About some of the mistakes young players make and people calling it "rookie mistakes". Then he said "This season, when "Boom Boom" Murray will fail a pinch in the offensive zone, I'll call it a veteran's mistake! You'll see, the guy is slow as ****!"
And lol @ PJ Stock saying Habs should trade Pleks but he has no clue whatsoever why.
