I could've done better than watching that game. Like, hair-dressing my armpits.

Work out the rust and kinks and be ready for regular season.

As for the young prospects, either on the verge of making the team or just looking to have a good showing, I look to them to impress me and show something.

Criticizing vets during preseason games is just stupid. These are the guys that know they have a roster spot regardless, so obviously they aren't giving 100%. Its the rookies and AHL'ers that are fighting for spots.

Yeah, the story about him being best friends with Rob Ray, and having dinner with him the night before the game, and then fighting him at the game, that was something else!

We'll Pleks was completely invisible tonight. Based on his performance tonight, I'd also trade him!

I have a feeling this is gonna be a long season for Gallagher. Teams are going after him and he already looks out of gas. I hope they find a way to protect this kid because if he has to endure every 6'4 defenceman going after him after every scrum he won't make it past Christmas.

Predictable result considering the lineups.

Wish Eller's line would have shown more, but I guess if they were able to legitimately compete against the Sens' line with Ryan on it and the Karlsson-Methot D pairing then the Habs would be a very deep team indeed.

Eller was a force and a puck retrieval machine last year. He's not playing anywhere near as physically this year. Understandable but I hope he's more effective once the season starts.

I know this is still preseason, but this is why I cringe when people are ready to trade Plekanec and have Eller fill his two-way role. He just isn't ready for it yet.

Actually, both Eller and Galchenyuk looked far too focused on the defensive side of things to me, and that's one of the reason they weren't able to contribute much offensively. I think you are right, and I'm surprised it's taken this long to mention.

The moral of the story here is this team is a long way away from Plekanec being expendable.

Who is saying Eller is ready to takeover Plekanec's role? And who is saying we should trade Plekanec??
Eller should never face the top opposition, he's a 2nd line center at tops. We're gonna need Galchenyuk to become that top line center where he'll be able to dominate the top opposition thanks to his offensive skills, but he's not there yet.

Eller could be replacing DD, not Plekanec.

PJ has always had it against Plekanec. No idea why but he always brings it up.
