Yeah, but a 30 goal scorer on one team is probably going to be a 15 goal scorer on the Habs!

I'd really take Reinprecht...

And would really pass on Comrie.

I say we acquire Cujo at the same time we acquire a centre from PHX. Cujo have great experience and he is still a good goalie. He cost a bit much for a 2nd goalie but if we deal Niinimaa + Aebischer + something for a centre + Aebi we are unlikely to défoncer the cap

Comrie actually has heart and tries hard most nights. He also has skill but doesn't know how to use it properly and that's what gets him in trouble and frustrates you. Compounding that...for his size he really lacks speed.

Maybe Abs to 'Yotes for #1 pick. Then that pick and Samansov to either Chitown or Ottawa for Vermette or Ruutu

I doubt that Gainey will be looking at picking up a player with Comrie's attitude.... that's the reason he's not still in Edmonton. No thanks

Reinprecht was the best player this year in Phoenix until his injury and I really doubt they trade the guy without giving him another chance.Comrie I like but he makes alot of money and I don't think would fit in with our team.He reminds me too much of Ribeiro so I would pass

I know you like Vermette dude, but why in the world would the Sens trade him and to top it all off inside their own division?

Reinprecht only had points in one of the five games he played before getting hurt. I kinda doubt he was their best player at the time.

Maybe but we can actually get one from our 3rd line for FREE!

Try Bonk, Johnson or Higgins....they all played center before. I would try Johnson at center between Higgins and Kovalev and put Samsonov on the top line with Koivu and Ryder. If that doesn't work....put Bonk up on the second line....he's a great 2 way player.
Sure our 3rd line has been the best line for the Habs a lot of games this year....but Carbo can't be scared to shake things up a bit...especially if it means we win games by 2 or 3 goals as opposed to winning by one goal every game and having to struggle and fight to win.

Agree 100%. Big strong right-handed shot. Great in the face-off circle and can play the point on the PP. I wonder what it would take to get him into a Habs uniform?

How about Souray straight up?

We'll lose at least one D to UFA at the end of the year. Edmonton is looking for a PP QB.

Montreal has D depth to replace Souray and Stoll can replace his production on the PP. The only question mark for me would be chemistry. Souray seems to have a lot of intangibles that are contributing to the success of this team. Then again, I think Stoll is a pretty quality guy in the dressing room as well.

Line-up ends up as:

Higgins - Koivu - Ryder
Samsanov - Stoll - Kovalev
Perezhogin - Bonk - Johnson
Begin - Plekanec - Latendresse

Markov - Komiserak
Bouillon - Rivet
Streit - Dandenault

We can't trade Souray without making a seperate deal for a defenseman. So realistically, the deal for a defenseman would have to come first.
Our defensive depth is lower depth. We don't have someone to play 22-25 minutes a game.
