I see Kruger as the better fit at 2C to platoon with Handzus with Saad being more natural at the wing and better on that 3rd line with Shaw and Hayes. Hayes has been extremely impressive at camp so far and is starting to win over a bottom 6 spot in favor of guys like Morin or Beach.
Kruger really is no more a center than Saad, Kane, Teuvo, or whoever the heck Q is experimenting with. He does at least have some experience at the position, but he has played the majority of his professional career on the left wing. Pegging him in there is OK for the fourth line, but its too dicey to expect him to contribute to the top 6. I would be surprised to see anyone but Handzus at least *start* the year there. Hopefully he at least remembers how to win a faceoff now.

So is Brandon Pirri completely out of the mix now or something?

Pirri was pretty much just wishful thinking from the start, but he's been hurt for most of the preseason, so he's not in the mix.

If someone could post an accurate revised Blackhawks line-up, I'll update it.

Fix the Bruins lines, the Krejci line is the first line. I hate this myth that the Bergeron line is the number one line or that the Bruins have two "first lines".

also keep an eye on this because it'll affect the defensive pairings listed http://www.sportsmedia101.com/boston...-why-thats-ok/

Nashville's lines are way off. Swap Josi and Ellis. Bump Nystrom down a line or two. Where is Gaustad?

Jensen for sure not making the team on the Canucks.

Shinkaruk could get a 9 game tryout before Booth returns (who's been cleared to play). Both will probably be playing 2nd line LW, while Higgins will be 3rd line mainly.

I'm still confused on just where he fits in? Even on the 4th line.

Sobotka - Lapierre - Morrow?

SimpleJack's lineup is probably accurate (with Handzus at 2 and Kruger at 4). The Saad experiment is officially over.

If someone can post an updated Canucks line-up (without Kassian/Weise), would appreciate it.

Edit: Edmonton, Phoenix, and San Jose as well. I'm currently removing injured/suspended players and there are a lot of holes now.

Rangers with their 1st line missing:

Kreider - Richards -Nash
Pouliot - Brassard - Zuccarello
Fast - Boyle - Hrvik
Pyatt - Moore - Dorsett

McDonagh - Girardi
Staal - Del Zotto
Moore - Stralman

Flames look good to me. First 3 lines are pretty much interchangeable so there is no certain 1-2-3.

The only change I might make is to put Berra in over McDonald as the backup. That's still up in the air though.

For the Blues, it looks like Jackman and Leopold will swap, with Jackman paired with Shattenkirk and Leopold with Polak.

per Patrick Roy, his defence pairings are Johnson with Benoit, Wilson with Barrie, and Sarich with Hejda. With Wilson currently injured, his spot can be filled with one of Hunwick, Holden or Guenin, whichever two make the team (Avs are going with 8 defence and 13 forwards).

Thank you for all the contribute to make this thread so amazing. What are your thoughts on including PP units?

Unfortunately, PP units are a whole different beast with each team rolling two different units. I'd in essence be doing 90 teams (30 teams even strength + 30 teams x 2 PP units). Plus the information for that is even harder to get than normal lines which can be hard enough to get as is. Sorry!

Edmonton:

Based on what we've seen so far in camp and how they likely want to spread the scoring talent around on the 1st 3 lines:

Smyth - Hall - Hemsky
Joensuu - Arcobello - Eberle
Perron - Gordon - Yakupov
Eager - Acton - Brown

Ference - J. Schultz
Smid - Petry
Belov - Larsen

Dubnyk
Labarbera

Pressbox: MacIntyre, RHamilton, NSchultz

Injured:

RNH
Gagner
Potter
Grebeshkov

:

Hertl - Thornton - Burns
Marleau - Couture - Hamilton/Nieto
Kennedy - PavelskI - Wingels
Sheppard - Desjardins - Burish

Irwin - Boyle
Vlasic - Stuart
Braun - Demers
Hannan

Niemi
Stalock

IR - Havlat, Torres

My guess as of now ... Burish may be out and both Hamilton and Nieto may be in. McLellan is a line juggler, so who knows how long the lines last.

I think Kennedy will spend more time with Couture/Patty and Vlasic/Braun will be the first pairing most likely with Hannan or Stuart on the 3rd pairing with Demers.
