100 bucks that Stepan's next contract WON'T be over $6.25M. I think it's gonna be $5-6M.

Canucks fans, on this board anyway, have been complaining for years that Viggy didn't give nearly enough opportunity to younger players.

one of the rare times I agree with going with a bridge deal from the team's perspective - I'm not sure I buy that Stepan is the near-PPG player he looked like last year.

Stepan isn't a rookie. He's an established NHL player and at worst a very good #2 Center.
