Also takes a lack of intelligence, too. I missed the first and most of the second, so if Kassian did something then, then I get it.

If Kassian isn't doing anything, leave him alone. Be like Chris Neil and challenge players who don't fight first.

Two brilliant assists by Briere here tonight. You get that feeling a healthy and motivated Birere is going to have a nice little season

Sens young guys were obviously more motivated than most of the Habs, but clearly outclassed.

Same story last night in reverse -- a bunch of AHL future-Habs overcompensating and making mistakes against Ottawa's best.

Let's not get carried away, he had a good camp, if he gets sent down it's hardly a travesty. If Parros is close, may as well send Bournival down and keep Dumont as spare.

As for the game itself, I think Bergevin needs to get on the phone and trade Diaz. Beaulieu and Nygren are better in just about every aspect of the game. EVERYTIME he's on the power-play, he makes impossible passes to get the 1-timer shot going, and when HE gets the puck, he takes 5 seconds just to end up wrist shooting to the goalie.

Diaz is expendable for sure.

How many times Prust did something like that last year? You know, going with a much bigger fighter? Moen doesn't deserve praise for standing up against Kassian. He's useless on this team, he needs to go asap.

Nice to see. I'd love Briere to prove me wrong and have a healthy, productive season. I've always liked the player; just didn't like the contract.

Also nice to see more evidence that Anderson isn't as good as he appeared last season.

He intelligently went down on purpose. Against a giant, recovering from a concussion.

Same with Diaz. He clearly is suffering still with after effects from his concussion.

It was a strategic retreat, to fool the other guy... Now the other teams will think he's soft... The trap is set.

So because Prust has balls, it doesn't mean anything when Moen has some too? That is some of the worst logic I have ever read in my life.

You're getting ahead of yourself. Nygren and Beaulieu are still making a ton of defensive mistakes that cost us goals.

But yeah, I'm liking their offensive swagger. They're not ready yet, but with a little more defensive coaching they could become solid NHLers.

I miss Spacek. Now HE was a Scapegoat.

As for Diaz, maybe we wait for the meaningful games before making conclusions.

Bournival, Tinordi, and Beaulieu are all going to be good players for us. Possibly even by the end of this year....

Diaz didn't have a good pre-season, but I'm still confident he'll be a good top-4 in the future. Give him time.

I won't mind trading him then, even though I like him.

Briere might not score 30 goals but he's going to get a lot of assist! What nice passes for the goals by Max and chucky tonight.

I loved the game beaulieu played tonight. He pinched in on the offense and made some nice defensive plays. Our future D core is going to be a deep one that's forsure
