a terrible ref...diving..guys getting taken off on stretcher, walking seconds later but Paponi is carded on an obvious PK for diving?
when does CONCACAF get its reckoning? its quality control review?
it's ****ing sick.

their goalie was great. it should've been 9-0 but at least 2 PKs called AGAINST us in previous weeks, we didn't get tonight. un****ingbelievable
There is a lot of money to make bro... corruption is deeper than most think... but im getting used to it... not much different than the gaz prices... and the mls reffing lol

Greatest game for IMFC in a while! Lefèvre, Tissot and Ouimette played a great game too! I was wishing for most of these players on the field and most of them played really well. I hope this win will give a morale boost for the next games!

They put themselves in this situation regardless of the awful circumstances, so first I blame Impact for not putting a more balanced team in Guatemala and again vs SJ.

I would rather say that they should have benched Nesta and Ferrari at San Jose. Those two guys had an horrible week (vs Columbus, at San Jose and vs Vancouver)...

Agreed.

Only watched the 2nd half but Wenger looked pretty good on the wing, the three kids on D did a good job, not any major errors.

Tissot is always dangerous offensively, but as Olivier Brett said, he needs to get stronger to win more physical battles, he gets beaten too easily in those.

Another strong game from Evan Bush, we won't be able to keep both him and Perkins for too long.

The officiating was as bad in the away game which put us in this situation, they gave us a red card for no reason, +.

Terrible officiating but there were so many missed chances you have to wonder what it would be like with a full lineup in... FROM THE START. Bringing Di Vaio in still needing 4 in less than 50 minutes was a strange half measure, I don't think anyone saw a 6-0 result coming at that point. Have to credit Heredia's keeper as well though. I'm also shocked Schallibaum didn't completely go off, he's been set off by far less this season.

Overall I think this was a great performance by the Impact, and the ideal result we could realistically hope for.

We won the game, did so quite well. With lots of young guys proving their competence.

Sure we won't go to CCL, but we can now be 100% focused on the playoffs.

The positive performance today might mean a lot of guys get more actual playing time than they would otherwise. I've we win the next couple games I wouldn't be surprised to see Nesta nailed to the bench for the rest of the month.

I think after yesterday's game I would feel a lot more confident with Lefevre if he's asked to replace Nesta or Ferrari to rest them. He still need to work on his positioning and anticipation but he's really good with the ball, he doesn't panic and see his teammates well.

Tissot was also good but still needs a lot of work on his one on one battles. With more physical MLS teams he would struggle.

Ouimette was good but he lacks something. He's an ok all around defenfer who doesn't excel in any area in particular.

Finally for Wenger, good thing he had a much better 2nd half because he was making me scream so loud. We saw yesterday that he may be fit for a wing position, although he lacks the creativity of a winger, he's got the speed and good crossing abilities.

Ouimette's biggest flaw.is that, for a full back , his crosses are awful.

@amandacstein:
What do you know... #IMFC's Schallibaum fined... again! IMFC violated 'mass confrontation policy' vs Whitecaps. Caps let off with warning.

@amandacstein:
#IMFC: Club is fined as well (10,000$). Club pays up because its their third infraction. Vancouver Whitecaps let off because its their first

This league is a ****ing joke. Wow.

Nah, it's for the penalty kick that was ruled off. There was a "mass confrontation" on the main ref soon after the Vancouver defenceman sent the ball away with "arm".

I knew we would be fined again for that..

I feel bad for Schallibaum. He must've spent a good chunk of his salary on all of these stupid "fines".

They're changing the grass in saputo stadium. Cange will be completed on friday and should be in ideal condition for the next home games.

You sure it isn't just them digging it out to place in the heating system they recently acquired before replacing it back?

They never acquired it and they're not installing one. It's marked in the article.

Quote:
After studying all options, the organization decided against a heating system under the field.

“With the major costs of that system, higher than we had anticipated, we decided to go ahead simply with changing the grass surface,” added Richard Legendre. “After further analysis, we realized that a heating system would not guarantee that we’d be able to play a game on the same day as a snow storm similar to the one we had on April 13.”

In his latest column, Patrick Leduc hinted that the Impact might be looking at Klose to replace MDV.

http://legrandclub.rds.ca/profils/74.../161739/public

I'm confused.

What's wrong with Klose?
