Lots of prospects playing tonight, can anyone tell me why Marco Roy has yet to play this year, is he injured?

another goal by Yakimov today. a nice tip-in.

he has played majority of his games as a winger so far, because Neftekhimik managed to land a former Olympian Andrei Taratukhin to center their 4th line. Yak-2 has taken only 16 draws in 9 games so far, so his 68.8% might be misleading.

Thanks for that Comrade. Have you had a chance to watch one of his games yet this season?

I don't see an NHLer in Dillon TBH. Especially considering that our 3 top D prospects are LH LD.

not so far, but i plan to catch one or two when Neftekhimik will be touring the European part of Russia. may even go to watch some game in Moscow. Yakimov so far has garnered bigger part of my interest that the whole (awful) Lokomotiv team this season

Kind of hoping Horvat and Domi don't make it back to London, it'll be a big blow but Platzer could use the minutes.

Agreed, and it's looking good so far as both will begin the season in the NHL.

And to summarize Platzer finished with an PP goal and an even strength, primary assist and was named the games first star for the second straight game.

Sounds promising. Platzer is an interesting prospect for sure.

That seems odd to me but I guess he is big enough to play.

Honestly, I've seen Horvat in a number of junior games and he looks even better for the Canucks. He might just be one of those players who fit that game. Haven't seen Domi but the reports have been great, he could really be a Ray Whitney replacement.

After the draft I was thinking it'd be fantastic if Platzer doubled previous seasons point production. But who knows with the spots that've opened up and the fact that London is still a very strong team. I just want him to outscore Remi Elie.

Looking at Ben Betker's bio on the WHL website, he's now listed at 6'6" and 215lbs.! This could be a kid that ends up playing at 240lbs. since he looked quite thin at camp and was apparently already 215lbs. He may not be done growing either since at the draft he was listed at 6'5" tall.

I thought he was one of our better D at the rookie camp.

Better than Klefbom tbh. Far better than Musil.

He got out of position a couple of times trying to destroy guys, but I don't mind seeing that aggression in a young player either. Far rather see that than somebody who is playing tentative.

Edmonton Oilers prospect Dillon Simpson (Craig's son) named captain of UND Fighting Sioux. Matt Greene held same "C" before joining Oilers.

Domi sent down today

@reporterchris
The #coyotes have sent first-round pick Max Domi back to the London Knights. He'll be part of the OHL's most dominant team.

I was pretty surprised at how well he handled the puck for a kid his size as well.

Greg Chase is on fire. 2 goals tonight, he has 25 minutes left in the game to complete the trick.

An agitator that can score is the best kind.

He's very mobile for a guy his size, IMO we could have a potential steal with this kid if he works hard and develops.

Considering his career stats I agree. I'm hoping that he gets on the board soon and that maybe he can get some PP ice if he doesn't get any already.
