Johnson-Benoit looked horribad, I expect Wilson will eventually fill in next to EJ when healthy as he has been the better of the options over the years.

Hejda-Barrie should be reunited, but could see Benoit-Barrie but that would be a small pairing defensively.

Think Holden will stay up as he has looked better defensively than Hunwick, and Hunwick will be waived again in hopes a team will pick him up, but likely wont be paid 1.6m to play in Lake Erie.
Wilson-EJ
Hejda-Barrie
Benoit-Sarich
Holden
Hunwick (if the Avs do keep 8 Dmen)

Having assigned Corrado and Gaunce to the minors, and with Booth for the (very brief) moment healthy, the Canucks appear to be entering Game 1 of the season with the lineup as such:

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Higgins-Kesler-Shinkaruk
Booth-Santorelli-Hansen
Horvat-Richardson-Weise
(Sestito, Kassian [susp], Schroeder [IR])

Hamhuis-Bieksa
Edler-Garrison
Tanev-Weber
(Alberts)

Luongo
Lack

Hope that helps

Strange they kept Horvat to play him on the 4th line, I take it that he will be sent down when Kassian comes back?

it's a crap shoot at this point, the flyers looked unimpressed with laughton's last performance but he could still be the frontrunner, vandevelde seems to be sticking around longer than expected, maybe talbot moves up to third line and laughton down to fourth either on the wing with hall at center or at center himself

I agree with this. They looked good with Kennedy on the couture/Marleau line and nieto on the Pavs/wingels line. I also agree, i don't think they will pair demers with Braun. If Stuart ends up with Vlasic, then Hannan will be with Braun or Demers. But coming off injury, I agree with Keg that I think well see him on d-pair 3 to start the season.

I don't believe, from how Horvat has been used, that he will remain passed the 9 game mark.

Shinkaruk I think is a 50/50 chance on making the team. Kassian and Schroeder are out of the lineup and both would need to take spots on the roster, likely the ones Horvat and Shinkaruk have. But if Shinkaruk impresses he may end up staying.

Looks like the yotes may be starting the year with 8 dmen (+1 more on IR) so I'm not too sure how the bottom pairing will be exactly on opening night. But here is where we stand:

Mikkel Boedker - Mike Ribeiro - Shane Doan
Lauri Korpikoski - Martin Hanzal - Radim Vrbata
Lucas Lessio - Antoine Vermette - Dave Moss
Rob Klinkhammer - Kyle Chipchura - Chris Brown
(Paul Bissonnette [suspended])

Oliver Ekman-Larsson - Zbynek Michalek
Keith Yandle - Derek Morris
David Schlemko - Michael Stone
Chris Summers - David Rundblad
(Rostislav Klesla [IR])

Mike Smith
Thomas Greiss

Hertl-Thornton-Burns
Marleau-Couture-Kennedy
Nieto-Pavelski-Wingels
Sheppard-Desjardins-Burish

Vlasic-Braun
Irwin-Boyle
Hannan-Stuart

Niemi
Stalock

Is my best guess as to the Sharks opening day lineup. Torres and Havlat are on the IR. Stuart and Burish are both nursing lingering "bumps and bruises" but I expect them to play opening day. Demers has been unimpressive to the point where I bet the coaching staff will play Hannan over him, as they are like to do (). The #3LW spot is probably down to Matt Nieto or Freddie Hamilton. Both guys have solid shots at it, but Nieto has been very impressive in preseason games skating with Wingels and Pavelski, and with that lineup needing all the scoring it can get, I think he'll get the nod over Hamilton, who is more NHL-ready and better defensively, but not as dynamic or talented as Nieto. Nieto will be returned to the AHL as soon as Havlat's ready, and Havlat will either take the remaining spot on the Pavelski/Wingels line or play on Couture's RW, with Kennedy moving down. Hertl is guaranteed to start in the NHL, and I'm sure it will be with Thornton and Burns. He will be given every single chance to succeed. Niemi will play ~70ish games, as Stalock is inexperienced.

Oilers..

Smyth - Hall - Hemsky
Perron - Arcobello - Eberle
Joensuu - Gordon - Yakupov
Eager - Acton - Brown/Hamilton/Macintyre (injured knee, not sure how serious)

Ference - J. Schultz
Smid - Petry
Belov - Larsen

Dubnyk
Labarbera

INJ: Nugent-Hopkins, Gagner, Grebeshkov, Potter, Macintyre

The 2nd and 3rd lines might get mixed up a bit before Tuesday but everything else looks to be set in stone like that.

The expectation is that Gryba will cement that spot after the season opener

Small changes to the Hawks, as Nordstrom makes the team. Hayes and Smith will probably sub in and out until one of them shows that they can hold down the position.

Bickell-Toews-Kane
Sharp-Handzus-Hossa
Saad-Shaw-Hayes
Bollig-Nordstrom-Kruger
Smith

Keith-Seabrook
Oduya-Hjalmarsson
Leddy-Rozsival
Brookbank, Kostka

Crawford
Khabibulin

Still need an updated HURRICANES and RANGERS line-up.

And I can't find one DUCKS fan that can agree on a line-up.

A little tweak for Nashville's forwards:

Wilson-Cullen-Hornqvist
Bourque-Legwand-Smith
Forsberg-Fisher-Nystrom
Clune-Gaustad-Hendricks

IR: Stalberg (shoulder, 3-4 weeks)

It also looks like PTO Simon Moser, 23 year old out of the Swiss league, has earned a contract. It's unsure where he fits in the line up though.
