He improved some aspects of his game from what I saw last year, to what I saw in training camp. It just wasn't enough, and he'll have to keep working at it. I think if he has a good year in RFD, they will sign him to another 2way for a year and go from there. If he has another not so great season, his time will be up.

He's pretty much a non-prospect at this point. Career AHLer/maybe a guy who will go overseas at some point. I doubt he ever plays for the Blackhawks and any NHL games he plays will be with another team. He's not really that young anymore either given he turns 24 in a few months and is entering his fourth professional season.

I reckon the low salary cap doesn’t allow the luxury of gambling and picking up an iffy player for most teams. Beach needs to take this as an eye-opener and work his butt off to resurrect his career. It sounds like he made a step in that direction by coming to camp in top shape..... but I think for his own sake, he needs to get out of RFD (and the Hawk organization).

He is on a 1 yr contract. Maybe he can get the hawks not to qualify him next year.

...he seems not to know what he needs to do to make an impact. I don't understand how this happens to some guys. Do they really not know? Has no advisor told them, do they not listen, are they just unable to execute the plan.

It's been a puzzle to me for a long time, covering many players.

(We've been saying this should be an eye opener and that should be an eye opener, but...)

I understand what the Hawks wanted him for when they drafted him, he just wasn't the right guy to do it.

Oh well, if drafting was easy the offseason would be even more boring than it already is. Best of luck with the rest of your life, Beach, but your time here is done.

Agreed Ö which steers me back to RFD and the coaching staff there. From outside, looking in, they certainly donít appear to be up to the task of mentoring our prospects. I may be dead wrong, but Beach is not the only one that seems to be spinning his wheels play on our #1 source for prospects to work on their deficiencies. A source, I might add, that has underachieved with some pretty good talent (on paper). Is it a coincidence?

Ted Dent sucks. That's my biggest beef with Rockford.

Why don't they have Barry Smith coaching the Hogs.

Is Beach really that bad now?

Any of you have Pro's and Con's of his game? I used to be a pretty big fan and hes one of the few that I always check in on, just never watch. Noticed he's been hurt a lot.

Playing in Sweden might be a good thing for Beach.

According to Google Translate, Beach is going there for a 3 week tryout due to their injury situation.

Put him on unconditional waivers if he wants to go somewhere else so much

Let him go find somewhere to play and eliminates 1 contract from Hawks books

Why would someone think sending Beach to play on big ice would be good?

I actually thought Beach showed signs of life. And I am not a Beach fan- but thought he played well in camp and pre-season. But then he would make the blind pass/turnover going toward the Hawks Zone- Just like Pirri did last nite (which led to tie game in 3rd). Q will not tolerate that type of play!

Anyways- perhaps Hawks want beach to go to Europe and learn how to skate better. Just a thought. Perhaps- the bigger ice will make him realize that turnovers= more skating/chasing! I don't know- but I think Hawks think he will learn something there!

Doesn't change the fact that Beach is waste of one

Should have 7 unused

We have worse under contract. The organization is trying to make some lemonade. Cannot blame them for trying.

Did not see that coming. Thought he will play in the AHL and next offseason a team will give him the same chance as we did this year with him still playing in the AHL. Then a year after he comes over

Kyle Beach sucks.

A complete waste of a first round draft selection.
