Man, I'm sure glad this guy is wearing Dodger Blue instead of that ugly orange and black.
I'm not.

He's an attention ***** and a disgrace to the Dodger uniform.

That said, he's the Dodgers' best option as their 8th inning setup man for the playoffs. I'll hold my nose and root for him.

Dodgers could've signed him to an extension at any time during the season, especially during the amazing run they were on and they didn't. That above all is what should make Don nervous about his L.A. future. Upper MGMT is deciding if they want a green manager who still makes mistakes running a $220M team. Don may be gone if they don't win the pennant.

I agree that he's an attention *****, but I don't know about "disgrace". I like him now because he's a Dodger and helps the team win. I don't need to live in the past and let it affect my views on him now. That was a badass outing he had tonight.

Tonight's lineup is why DM should not be re-signed unless the team wins the NL. He doesn't have to have the A lineup every night but he still has better options to trot out there. You know, like Van Slyke instead of ****ing Hairston. DM doesn't want the HFA at all.

I have a different theory. Me thinks it happened like this right before Griffin "blew it."

I'm not a fan of the Giants as much as any other blue blooded Dodger fan, but come on people espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/story/_/id/9725630/man-stabbed-death-att-park-san-francisco

The Dodgers have been a victim of their own success. Because of the big division lead, Mattingly felt it was okay to throw away some games to avoid injuries before the playoffs. I'm telling you, unless we reach the World Series, the Dodgers are nothing but a team that had a hot 2 months...a team that never really showed consistency. 11-13 so far in September. I'm really not liking this approach to the playoffs.

And then all these guys that are rested for a week or so come in cold for the playoffs. Awesome.

Belasario and Paco have looked awful this month. Thankfully Wilson has gotten stronger as he pitched more innings, so let's assume he's our 8th inning set up man until further notice.

Kershaw, Greinke and Ryu are firing on all cylinders so I've got no concerns about our rotation.

Puig is hitting .231 with an OPS of .828 in September. So there's definitely some concern there.

The only way I see us getting to the WS is if Matt Kemp plays like Matt Kemp from 2011.

Dodgers couldn't beat Barry ****ing Zito and again lost a game they should have won last night. Their record in September has been dreadful against mostly non-playoff teams.

Nolasco fell off the rails. Kershaw is perilously close to being overworked (he wasn't pitching well until DM gave him an extended rest).

Their best match-up in the NLDS is the Braves, who have been equally as inept of late.

Stumbling and staggering in to the postseason is not the way to go in. The Dodgers (and the Braves) peaked too early.

Matt Kemp on crutches after the game. WTF! Falsone has done a horrible job since she was hired in 2012.

Matt Kemp since 2008-2011: Played in 637 games out of the 647 games. Since 2012: Only 179 out of 324.

Ah yes, blame the trainer for Kemp's inability to slide at home. If he didn't have ass the slide he would have been back a long time ago.

He was already inury-prone prior to that lazy play that hurt his ankle. The fact is he's missed so many games since 2012. And Falsone is not the trainer I would want for the future when a guy like Puig is one of your best players.

Kemp needs to be kept out period to do a full heal. I think he kept coming back 60% or so and then just hurting himself more.

the vile being spewed at Matt Kemp on twitter for being injured and out for the playoffs is ridiculous and gives rational Dodger fans a bad name.

They have a new toy to play with in Puig so they throw Kemp to the junk pile.

It's embarrassing.

It was also the trainer's fault that Kemp went Johnny Knoxville into the center field wall in Denver.

Didn't Kemp get hurt his first game back with that attempt of a slide? As for Puig, the first thing the GM need to do is remove that right field electronic scoreboard because at some point he'll try and run right through it and get electrocuted.

I do believe that there is something to all of the Dodgers soft tissue damage. Mike Soscia's tragic illness website did a study and the number of these injuries went up something like 30% during the trainers tenure.

This is not uncommon. Green Bay is about to rework the entire strength and conditioning and training staff due to the same problem.
