A win against them would go a long way to set the pace for the remainder of our meetings. We've traditionally been awful opening and closing seasons against Toronto, so let's change that now.

Deshernais will have a hat-trick, and Price a shutout.

The board will not know how to feel.

No point in playing the other 81 games if we lose.

So many subplots. Price vs Reimer for the Olympic starter position. and Dion vs PK for the last spot on D. Youppi vs. Carleton. Orr vs Parros in a loser leaves town. Max vs Phil for US captaincy.

Last year they did not look ready on opening night. To be honest with so much emphasis on rookie evaluations and some veterans getting their playing minutes late I am nervous about a repeat.

I hope we get to see a Briere "one-timer, one-knee" type goal, followed by the celebration. That would be a great way to open up the scoring.

I know it's just one game out of 82 this year, but a big win against a hated division rival will go along way.

I can't see a situation where Parros, Prust etc don't fight and allows the talwent on our team to do their thing without fear of being beaten by the opposition.

Talent for talent, I think we win against most teams in our division, Leafs being among them. Plus their defense is not that great. I mean how great can it be when your best defensman is Phaneuf!

Habs take this 4-3 in a tightly contested physical battle. Price & PK want to play for team canada and no Leaf will stand in their way.

Go Habs Go!!

I don't think Reimer nor Phaneuf have a shot on the Olympic squad. I'd say Phaneuf has no chance of going. Reimer has the better shot but he's only got 100 career games behind him and he might not even be his own team's starter this year. The Leafs believed in him so much they went out and got Bernier...

I'd prefer to see it come from Galchenyuk or Eller. They're the future.

Both teams looked awful on opening night last year, it just so happened Toronto ended up on top...what a horrible game that was

Sure. I just stated Briere because it would make a lot of people sad.

If Galchenyuk did a simple toe drag and snapped a shot glove side on Reimer, I'd go nuts.

How about all of our palyers do good?

I know many of you peoples wouldn't see that. They'd rather see DD crash down and burned to be vindicated instead of seeing them pull the team offensively.

And obviously, many here don't want all players to do well. Otherwise we'd lack a scapegoat.

Let's have Brière first, DD 2nd and Gionta 3rd,4th and 5th. We would get wings and see Whiskey explode in a confused rage.
