DD over Briere for me. I'd rather have the youngster do better than his elder

They could also get a hat trick each and Gionta's butt could hit Reimer again.

If I see Gionta injure another goalie (after Reimer and MAF), I'd rather it be Anderson.

I'm prepared for dud of a game, win or lose. Everyone on both teams plays like garbage and the winner gets a power play late in the game and score on it.

I just really want to see a big year out of this guy. What he does weighs heavy for us. It's not fair to have these kinds of expectations/hopes but it is what it is. We haven't had a prospect like him in a long time.

Id love to see the leafs try and goon it up right from the start and try and make the actual game a sideshow to the glorification of their phony tough guy act, only to have us use our new found grit to calm things down. Then we simply out play them because their lucky shooting percentage dries up and we take advantage of the large number of shots they give up.

Oh and Kadri gets roughed up when he tries to hide behind the linesmen after charging someone.

I don't think that's asking for too much

This season can be won or lost in the Leaf/Habs opening night, if the Randy Carlyle's goon squad has the opportunity to pummel the smaller Habs. Therrien should have White, Parros, Prust, Murray, Moen and Tinordi in the lineup and ready to tango. A message needs to be sent from the opening night to all teams, that the Habs will not be pushed around. Otherwise the Habs could be one of the teams leading the league in players missing games due to injuries, as they were 2nd most games lost to injury behind Edmonton two years ago.

I don't want the Habs to have to play this way, but it's a whole lot better than watching our players getting beaten into submission by injuries.

Prediction: Habs lose a couple of fights and this board becomes even more insecure than it already is.

This place will be interesting if the Habs win off Desharnais and/or Briere goals, but lose a couple of fights along the way.

It would be more interesting still if DD fights Orr and wins.

Now THAT would be something to see.

So many subplots. Price vs Reimer for the Olympic starter position. and Dion vs PK for the last spot on D. Youppi vs. Carleton. Orr vs Parros in a loser leaves town. Max vs Phil for US captaincy.
None of those are even competition. Reimer won't make it. Dion won't make it. ..... OK Orr vs Parros will be cool. Neither will be captains lol.

You may as well say U of O vs. Carleton. JK, we all know Carleton is like the Leafs of universities.

Like that we actually have a real 4th line against the leafs.
Surprised that Tinordi is taking Murray's place who is fully recovered from his injury.

That would be glorious. Or maybe that karate kid high kick... (DD still probably wouldn't even reach Orr's chin )
