You did, because he was. It was a lower-body injury he was rehabbing, now he hurt something in the upper body during that rehab.

I'm pretty sure they were going to be there regardless of the injuries to Murray and Drewiske...nothing's changed in that regard.

FFS.... I guess this is why they say, you need at least 8 NHL defencemen in your roster...

Well that bums me the hell out. I was looking forward to seeing him in action and was happy to hear he nursed his lower-body injury to 100%. This sucks.

Awesome. You sign a player to replace an injured one and he gets injured, during his rehab, he injures something else! Seriously, you can't make that crap up.

So, it was reported that he hurt himself yesterday? Upper body, correct?

I'm playing detective work here. I'm guessing it's his right shoulder.

Again, I have reason to believe that Murray has a lingering right shoulder injury, and this is from even before yesterday.

I'm interested to see the official reports.

So we signed Murray to sit? Don't think so.

Well, we rolled the dice and so far it's come up snake eyes. Now we've got to hope that Tinordi can handle the load...

I would have liked to see Bergevin claim Stu Bickell off waivers.

So if everything's on schedule he'll miss our first 8 games of the season. Hopefully we can stay healthy for that long.

Yeah I found his skating a little bit better than what I remembered, so I was looking forward to seeing him too.

Good news he looked slow and out of shape. I suspect its a fake injury and the trainers will have to whip him into game shape.

I wonder if its the same training staff from years ago that did such a terrible job for this team, or did they fire them all?

We sure didn't sign him at the end of August to play a regular role in our top 6. Sorry if you thought that was the case. He's a fill-in, or a just-in-case if Tinordi wasn't ready.

Maybe Brian Murray can leave Joe Corvo in a basket outside Place Bell with a note "will turn puck over for food".

Yep, I have to say though those 2 injuries are really knocks on his case.

IOW: Is he out of shape or what?

Well boo. Not like Murray is a catalyst for our defense or anything, but this sucks.

Similiar to Campoli two years ago, Murray gets hurt right away.

There are reasons these guys sit there all summer unsigned.

This is why you need lots of depth on the blueline.

The season hasn't even started and they're down to 6 dmen.

Second injury Murray has had without playing a single game. Good start...

Reminds of the year when we had about 50 players play for us, when we got many guys of waivers and they started getting injured too, crazy year.

Sucks, wished we could of seen a physical 6'3 240lbs guy move leafs players around the crease like he did with Lucic. Too bad, hope he can be back in shape for the next game vs either Senators, Bruins or Leafs where its gonna get yucky, even Philly pushed us around a lot last year, looking for some payback

Anyways Tinordi really impressed me this pre-season, he's gonna be a force out there and Subban and Bouillon yet have to lay a big hit but I know fosho they can do it so we should be fine. But having our toughest d-man and forward injured vs a very physical rival sure sucks...

Shouldn't have drafted him.

Our season is seriously done, guys.

Subban threw a huge hit in pre-season.
