It still doesn't make sense why you'd pick Omark. He's the last guy I'd choose

Great way to really learn the defensive side of the game.

That's what I was thinking.

Also, I mean, it's an AHL preseason scrimmage. I wouldn't put any weight in it at all.

It's likely that a couple young guys start out in Stockton but out of all of the guys coming in who do you want to see take a big step? Personally I think Travis Ewanyk has the potential to be a 3rd or 4th line center, along with a large leadership role. So these aren't what the line combos will be but here is a list players that are set to play for the OKC Barons.

Rajala-Arcobello-Pitlick
C Hamilton-Acton-R Hamilton
Ewanyk-Martindale-Kessy
______-Miller-Abney

The blank spot represents the possible player\s that could come down. I see it being between Eager, Lander, or Joensuu.

Klefbom-Marincin
Musil-Gernat
Hunt-Davidon
(Potter, Larsen, or Belov)

A lot of LHD, but Todd Nelson should make it work. I could see both Musil and Gernat getting ECHL time.

Bachman
Roy

Not sure if Tuohimaa is playing in Europe next year, but if not he and Bunz should be ECHL locks. Bunz will be the main call up.
Arco Acton and R.Hamilton will start the year with the oilers.

Well to be fair, the guy you quoted made the post well before the cuts were made.

Wanting to find out if Gernat is sticking with AHL club? would love to see Marincin-Gernat pairing together for a full season.

Hunt-Fedun
Klefbom-Davidson
Marincin-Gernat

Barons cur some jobbers yesterday,
Ryan Barlock, Alex Lavoie, Preston Shupe, Kale Kerbashian and defensemen Wes Cunningham, Andrew Himelson and Matt Krug.

I'm assuming that these guys go to the chl or to another minor pro league team and not to bakersfield. 27 players in OKC camp right now, I wonder who will go to the E.

Klefbom took a puck to the ankle in a practice and had to leave the ice. Had the ankle taped up and on crutches, but not in a boot.

Hopefully not broken.

But damn this kid is unlucky

Dam Klefbom is really starting to bother me with his ability to stay healthy.

As per @ericrsports, Bunz has been told he's heading to Bakersfield.

He NEEDS to have a strong year down there.

Both Rimmer and Bunz are going to get a lot of shots and needed experience at the pro level. Writing was on the wall with the goalies pre camp.

They are not moving up unless we have an injury. I am fine with Bunz being the number one guy in the ECHL. Roy being the backup in AHL does not seem as good of a decision for me.

Well he should not be a starter at AHL level so being a backup it is. Hopefully they do a 60\40 split so he gets enough games for Barons.

If paying closer attention to the AHL the last few years has taught me anything it is that there is a LOT of value in having an NHL quality backup as the starter for your AHL team. It gives your AHL team a chance to win every night and it gives your NHL club a quality callup option when the inevitable injuries happen.

In other words, you want a proven guy as your #1 in the AHL, not a developmental player.
