Wish I could be at today's game. The Canes are an easy target this year. No drafted players, really struggling out of the gate.

Mads Eller is out for a second straight game after the concussion last Wednesday.

Reinhart is playing in NYI's split-squad games tonight (against Lazar and the Sens, no less), and it looks like they might keep him for 9 in the regular season as well.

Tough start to the year for Jarry. 1-0 Lethbridge about 5 minutes in.

Sounds like quite the game, Oil Kings were up 2-1 and out shooting Lethbridge 37-13 after two periods. Then the 'Canes come back with 3 goals on 4 shots to start the third, Moroz scored his second of the night to bring the OK kids back within one.

Yikes. I stopped following it on Twitter because I assumed that the boys had this one.

Jarry... wtf man?

5-3 Hurricanes after an empty netter.

I don't know what happened in the 3rd period but I'm not impressed with Jarry this year. He doesn't seem to be adapting well without Brossoit.

From what I'm reading on Twitter it sounds like this one is on Jarry again. 4 goals (3 weak) on 21 shots.

Was at the game. Not a good effort by the Kings. The 'Canes goalie was very good, but our offence didn't make him make a lot of hard saves. Brutal third period. We were down and could have taken it to them but after out shooting Lethbridge almost two to one through the first two periods, we were outshot in the third. Jarry was horrible tonight.

This is my first game this season. Are they not introducing the mascot any more? Last two seasons the mascot intros were a highlight - very cleverly written.

Even in the wins he's stopping a very low percentage of the quality shots against him. Might be time to start Santos for a game or two.

I know we're going to have trouble converting scoring chances this year, but it's tough to win when you have zero confIdence in your goalie.

Lazar returned to the team. That's going to be huge, Samuelsson looked really out of place at center to me. First line of Moroz-Lazar-Samuelsson will be really nice. Now to just hope we get Griffin back too.

Team is instantly a lot better with Lazar.

Shame it's looking like Griffin won't be back any time soon.

It sucks that the Islanders are hanging onto Reinhart. We really need him back.

Quickly climbing onto the 2014 draft radar. He's been impressive early on, playing a Keegan Lowe-esque game. ie; tough and offensive minded.

Petryk isn't a world beater but it's refreshing to see a GM who recognizes deficiencies (centre depth) and does something about it. Bravo Hansch.

Good to see Irving off to a good start, him stepping it up takes some of the sting of losing Geertsen in the Musil deal.

3-0 Wheat Kings in the 2nd period. Nasty, nasty start to the season for the Oil Kings.

Jarry is replacing Santos in net now.

Moroz scores two quick goals to cut the Wheat Kings' lead to 3-2.

Major penalty issues and major PK issues tonight. Samuelsson needs a good benchingby the looks of it.
