New 1st line

Habs proved they can be in the top teams by playing hard and in team. But we yet have a very scary 1st line. When higgins returns, why not put him at the right of koivu and kovalev at left. Wouldnt that be nice . I think it would be scary to death for the others team if those 3 produces offensively as they can. Thoughts?

Except then we load all our offense onto one line...I'm more open to the idea of having Ryder-Koivu-Kovalev on line one and Samsonov-Higgins-Latendresse on line two.

What you guys think of that ?

Latendresse-Koivu-Kovalev
Samsonov-Plekanek-Ryder
Perezhogin-Bonk-Jonhson
Begin-Lapierre-Murray

And when Higgins return :

Higgins-Koivu-Kovalev
Samsonov-Plekanek-Ryder
Perezhogin-Bonk-Ryder
Begin-Lapierre-Latendresse

Kostitsyn - Koivu - Ryder
Samsonov - Higgins - Kovalev
Perezoghin - Bonk - Johnson
Begin - Plekanec - Latendresse

The problem with that is that we dont have a cloning device for Ryder

Higgins-Koivu-Latendresse

This would make every line dangerous in the offensive zone, plus, putting Ryder on the fourth line might just put a fire under his butt. Lats should be on the first line because he has been playing a lot better with Koivu and once Higgins is back that line would have scoring ability from all three forwards as well as strength in the corners and in front of the net with Lats. Samsonov, Plekanek and Kovalev have been playing pretty good together so, why mess with a good thing. It's only a matter of time before that line explodes with a bunch of goals.
