Touche. Though I still feel we outplayed the Leafs handily.

He didn't touch it but both times he took two Leaf players with him clearing the zone, great play. Best period of the year so far.

Not his fault if MaxPac wasn't ready to get hit.

Ditto. Gionta played great... well, except for the "shoot-on-goal" part of his game.

Imagine this team when Emelin comes back :# - now that'll be the cherry on top of the cake.

That's what I thought too. It was not a dirty hit but it's a shame that Orr bodychecked Pacioretty who wasn't even near the puck. Those hits happen all the time though, but still a useless/late hit that injured our best offensive player.

You just didn't see what he wanted to do when he shot it from the slot, he wanted a rebound from the board in order to surprise Reimer...

Really? Price has atleast one instance of completely robbing the leafs. Probably two. We've let them walk in too many times. Subban also needs to calm down. he's running around a bit. And I'm rarely critical of subban.

Plekanec playing with bourque and gionta ouch, plekanec with good wingers is a PPT guy. Anyways, Parros can keep up the game so he wont play 40 games like laraque. Pac got injured hope hes back or else there will be a hole.

Good 1st period, as good as a period where Pacioretty gets hurt can be.

I'm genuinely impressed by Parros. He can play Hockey, his skating isn't horrible, and he seems to be able to find Prust easily. It's just a period, but a goon that can play 10 minutes is a lot better than a goon that you have to leave on the bench.

Eller's scary good, fast, and goes in. Whoever was scared that he might be afraid after Gryba's check can rest easy.

Bourque and Gionta had a good period - they just need to start hitting the damn net.

Diaz can't lose pucks like that. Not with a D corps that'll be a massive non-stop battle for ice time all season long.

Man, I missed Hockey. That was such a good, intense period too.

If the nets were the length of soccer nets, he'd have grazed the outside of the post.

That is the carlyle system. Late hits. Interference. Repeat.

Eller looks amazing, now it seems he was just holding back in the pre season. The EGG line looks great, Parros is much better than we thought, Diaz looking sharp, Subban already tried to nail someone, and Price even with some small difficulties is stepping up.

2 periods to go, but so far, so good.

Welcome back everybody.

Just thinking that Parros is an enforcer guy who can hopefully also deliver some good hits as well as fights, but 0 offence. Fine. But when he is around that Leaf net he takes up so much space, is impossible to shove around and is so imposing, I just think of the day McCaron and some other big guys with some skill are skating for the Habs.
