I'm not looking forward to sharing a division with this PP. WAS PP has steadily gotten better and better under Oates.
Meh. Washington has a fierce PP but that's about it. They have elite top-end offensive talent with Ovechkin, Backstrom, Green but that's about it. Their goaltending isn't tested enough and even in the best case possible isn't elite in any sense, their D isn't impressive overall, and their depth at pretty much every position is underwhelming to say the least.
I think Grabrovski was a really smart, good pickup that will work well for them (I think he'll work better in Washington then anywhere else really), but I don't see how they are any better off then when they had, say, Semin instead.
They're not a bad team certainly, but if you shut down their PP or even just their offensive stars in general they're nothing really. I can't see them winning a Cup.
I don't see them winning a Cup either, I just see them as a potential pain in the ass. Our goaltending is weaker and we historically take a lot of penalties...so there's a solid chance we play to their strength.
