To Montreal

Brendan Saad

To Chicago

David Desharnais

why montreal does this?

the way Lars Eller played last night, he deserves to be in the top 6 and Saad would be great with Galchenyuk and Gallagher.

Patches-Eller-Briere
Bourque-Plekenec-Gionta
Saad-Galchenyuk-Gallagher
Moen-White-Prust

why Chicago does this?

they finally answer there #2 center men problem

Bickell-Toews-Kane
Sharp-Desharnais-Hossa
Morin-Handzus-Shaw
Bollig-Kruger-Hayes/Nordstrom

thoughts?

Not a fan of either team, but i'd imagine Chicago says no.

They're very high on Saad, and he plays on their 1st line.

I'd imagine that is more important to them than filling the #2C slot.

Yeah, probably not. Handzus did well in the playoffs last year, Kruger looks to be improving offensively and Pirri is waiting for a shot.

agreed. once again, sorry hawks fans.

us habs fans have to forget the idea that desharnais is a 2C. he has marginally below average top 6 skill, and well below average defence.

saad has all the tools to be a first liner.

The way DD has played in the last few months of his career, they'd be lucky to get sod for him.

Yeah, we've tried the Saad to Montreal thread before. Don't really need a rehash.

I'm sure Chicago will do the deal in a jiffy, hand you a coupon for a free large deep-dish pizza at Giordano's, and ask you to go look for a BRENDAN Saad in their city. If you find him, he's yours.

The right person to be offering for Saad is Lars Eller. And honestly, I feel like it would make a lot of sense for both teams. (Habs fan)

I don't mind this deal. How about:

To Chicago - Desharnais, Boulion and Parros.

To Montreal - Saad, Teravainen, Leddy

Then:

To Chicago - Saad, Galchenyuk, Teravainen, Leddy, Subban

To Montreal - Desharnais, Parros, Boulion, Pirri, Brookbank

Done and done.

Saad's 3 years youger than Eller and already better than him.

There is no sense in Chicago trading Saad, unless it's in a package for something ridiculous and they're already a stacked team at forward and on defense.
