Can't take it with you? It's not locked into that location.

I don't have DirectTV (Verizon Fios), but I'm almost certain that you can transfer your service to wherever you move to and it won't affect the agreement. I was worried about the same thing when I signed up for Verizon, but they allow you to cancel your agreement without a charge if you move to an area where the service is not available.

You can relocate and still be with Directv

Interesting. Perhaps I should have looked into it a bit more carefully.

Hey, I will get NBCS on DirecTV (just checked my channel package), will I get Flyers games when they are there. I mean I'll get them when they are NBC.

I remember having Flyers games on that station(NBCS) last year.

If so, that's good, because typically they end up on there A LOT.

I count 16 games on NBC or NBCS

ESPN schedule has the local/national broadcast. They are on CBC & RDS a few times, but I don't think I get them.

Suddenlink, the nation's worst cable company, doesn't offer Center Ice or NHL network as options. (Understandable, perhaps, given the limited popularity of the sport here--but they also don't offer the Longhorn Network in northern suburbs of Austin. Seriously, I never thought that I would miss Comcast, but this is awful).
Yes, it is suddenlink here for the local cable as well. I hate their DVR interface, so I never change to them. My parents have them. But, I wasn't aware that they did not offer the NHL package. That sucks.

Yes, the game tonight is not in HD. It really, really sucks. With the white ice on an LCD tv, I get a headache after a while.

I also could notf ind Sat's Flyers game on the Direct TV tv menu - but their listing of the games on the Direct TV website shows it. So, we'll see....

The only games that will not be in HD are the ones that involve Canadian teams for the most part. For some reason, only HNIC feeds are in HD of all the ones out of Canada. Since Comcast doesn't provide the Flyers feed (call the FCC when the shutdown is over to complain), we get stuck with SD.

After 10 minutes of choppy free feeds, I caved and dropped $150 for GCL. Hopefully my internet holds up.

Well I got my first chance at GCL this year last night. Stream quality wasn't the best at times so I went down another avenue looking to improve the quality and I could have saved myself a lot of money with what I found.

I would swear reading complaints about the online Gamecenter last season, or the season before.

I've tried watching Kladno games (for Jagr) online during the lockout. I was sick of that after a while. Watching hockey games on the computer ain't for me...

I got Game Center Live on my ipad and phone yesterday for the times I'm at work or otherwise engaged and can't make it home in time for puck drop. Via 3rd party software I faked my GPS location and set it to Guadalajara, Mexico so no games are blocked out . This way I can always get the home broadcast as well.

I mean the way I figure it I pay for Fios, why shouldn't I be able to watch the home broadcasts with Game Center Live right?

Living in Central Pa, I went with DirecTV 15 years ago just so I could get the Flyers via CenterIce. However blackouts have been really bad for the past 3 years, I bet 10 games due to the fact that our local cable supplier is Comcast, plus the non HD games sucked. I would supplement my season with hockeystreams. This years I dropped CenterIce and just went with HockeyStreams via my ROKU. CANT beat it! Now I will have the opportunity to watch the Flyers broadcast every game. Someone mentioned about their connection speed. I only have a 10meg service available here and it streams just as good as HD on CenterIce..
