I have to be honest here, postma has had a pretty terrible preseason. I'm willing to bet the phone calls have stopped.

Rangers still need a specialist just for PP 7th D

Now that dust has settled w/rosters, any further update on his value?

Rangers still might be a solid destination for him. Thought he'd be a decent fit the last year or so for what you guys need.

No, his pre-season was still pretty rough. Believe he's playing on the 3rd pairing tonight though.

I always thought Postma was valued pretty decently by his team.

Also, off-topic but I've always been amazed by how many thoughts Friedman has. I'm lucky if I get 30 thoughts in a day and most of them aren't worth repeating.

Thanks. Again, asking price? To help w/cap, can we agree on a prospect or 2?

From a Leafs perspective, I actually think this could be a good move if we could acquire him on the cheap. I am pretty convinced Mo Riles will be sent down anyway, and Ranger did not seem like he played well at all the first game. Having bottom pairings of Gardiner - Franson, Fraser - Postma would be nice, but not needed.

So, to conclude, would be nice, not needed, probably won't happen from the Leafs point of view. Calgary should be all over this one

Might be a decent add for Ottawa. Wonder who the Jets would want in return for him.

I think the writing is on the wall for him to be moved with Trouba coming in. Postma is an offensive defenseman but if he's not playing on the PP (with Trouba, Bogosian, Enstrom and Byfuglien ahead of him), he doesn't have much of a role.

If he plays like he did last night much longer, teams will stop circling and just fly away.

If Postma is dealt it will either be for a mid round pick (3rd-4th) if they feel Redmond can come up and be an option or for a depth option (from Ducks like Fistric or Lovejoy) + a late pick (5th-7th), IMO.

He is a really good option for a team needing some help on the PP, he is a really good producer on the PP, unfortunately the Jets already have 4 really good options on the PP (Enstrom, Byfuglien, Bogosian and Trouba). I could see a team like NYI targetting him since Visnovsky is their only really good PP defenseman.

If he's dealt I would anticipate this kind of return, yeah. I'd be ok with it, Postma is just a redundant piece in Winnipeg but could thrive elsewhere.

Ignoring the fact that this is overpayment you do realize stempniak had 32 points in 47 games last season. My first question, who replaces that production? Not postma. Second question, why give away a very serviceable 2-3rd liner, who could play top line this season. For a 6th maybe 5th defenseman who has yet to prove jack in the nhl.

I think Postma could be used for a goalie if needed, if Pavs goes down we're going to need insurance money.

I shudder at the thought of whatever goalie we could get for Postma starting any games.

That's actually a typo, I meant to write that we get the 3rd. Postma, 3rd for Stemps.

My bad.

Is there any chance Luca Sbisa available? It's going to cost more than Postma.....what would that be?
