End of the period on bad ice. That was going to be a shot all the way, and Bernier knew it.

Would have preferred the PP to be honest. Fresh sheet of ice and well-rested players. Eats up around 2 minutes. Penalty shot average is around 33% and Flyers on PP can be around the 30 percentile normally when clicking. Maybe higher on a fresh sheet. Especially if Simmer wasn't going to do much with it.

Its the truth.

You have to capitalize on special teams.

Leafs looked good on their single PP.

Flyers have looked good, sucks that Simmonds didn't score...

Bad turnover by Talbot though, Phaneuf read that like a book.

Adam Hall actually has a better shootout record than Simmonds and Voracek. Maybe he'll be the third guy if there's one tonight.

Meh, that wasn't much of a makeup call. Timonen moved to impede JVR's line to the puck. That was interference.

We actually looked good on most of our power plays tonight believe it or not, we just have not finished on many great chances..........Bernier has been fantastic as well, such is hockey.

Since the beat writers don't have bryz to whine about anymore, they are whining about the cost of food

Simmonds is one of the worst guys for us to take a PS as far as our skilled players are concerned. He's more of a net front presence/screen/deflection/garbage goal type of guy then anything.

I was just thinking that, ideally I would have chosen Read to get a PS. He seems to always score in every shootout, breakaway, or penalty shot. Giroux would be nice too.

This isn't soccer.. you don't get to choose who takes the shot.

I know, I'm saying if I had to choose one player to be in the position of taking a penalty shot I would like it to be one of those two.
