This thing looks like it could give you a coronary just looking at it.

PNC Park concessions rolled out two amazing new offerings this season: The “Brunch Burger” — a burger sandwiched by two halves of a doughnut, topped with bacon and a fried egg — and Scotch eggs, hard-boiled eggs wrapped in sausage and deep-fried. The Pirates don’t just win ballgames; they stuff delicious foods into other delicious foods.

But everything does taste better when fried.

I'm kind of glad it isn't. I should be able to get a lot of the baseball game watched before the Pens game starts with the Pirates game on at 5.

I would have preferred it at 8 to be honest, the hockey game would be half done almost and by the 3rd or 4th inning the hockey game would have been over. Ah well no big deal, hopefully both the Pirates and Pens win!

Thankfully I don't have to sneak the game in with my work schedule ("freelance" work is nice in that sense and only in that sense), but that still royally screws with my routine.

Forget Folgers, the greatest part of waking up is baseball in the morning.

edit: The Pirates' run of having the top prospect in the low minors leagues has come to an end...Tyler Glasnow merely ranked 2nd amongst SALLY prospects behind Eddie Butler of the Rockies (22 year-old 2012 sandwich rounder who only played the first 9 of his 28 games this season in the SALLY...so...what?).

Morton and Burnett added to roster. Tony Sanchez and Snider were removed off the roster.

Allen Craig is not on roster due to injury. Lynn will be a starter for Game 2 and Joe Kelly for Game 3.

If the Pirates at least split the first two games in St. Louis - Pirates in 4.
If the Cardinals win both home games - Cardinals in 5.

I don't see either team winning an elimination game on the road.
