7 straight years under .500, 3 straight out of the playoffs, it will take some time to convince the fans this year is any different than the last few.

I agree. But even during our push for the playoffs last season we had good crowds.

Clark Seymour has been returned to the Petes by Pittsburgh. Big boost to an already veteran heavy back end.

Boland-Seymour
Army-Devlin
Varga-Spencer

they've been trying to move trojanovich for 2 years....expect him to be released or given away for a 15th

Trojanovic is not well liked even though he managed to only be the leading scorer among defensemen on the Petes last year. Mind you he hasn't started well this year. Still Petes fans are finicky when it comes to their players. When players work hard they complain when they don't get results and when they get results the fans complain about work ethic or something else.

In my opinion the Petes are one more top 6 forward away from being a very good hockey team this season.

Hi PetesFan
Saw your inquiry about Blandisi on the 67 thread. Nothing wrong with Blandisi he's playing great but if I was the Petes I'd wait as I'm still convinced Monaghan will come back and be on the trade block. The petes could probably get both for a package of draft picks and young players. I agree with you the petes are looking good and with the east wide open and the winner likely going to the M cup....should consider a big move.

Monahan with Ritchie and Cornel would be drool worthy for sure. But I just don't see Oke moving a guy like Spencer.. To do that. If a trade could be worked out without Cornel or Spencer involved id be all in.

Wondering what your thoughts are on Hatcher? I was sad to see him leave London but he didn't fair too well in the points department last year....but this is his draft year and its early but he is out of the gate hot at a point per game.
How does he project?
Thank you in advance..

He has looked much better than last season... Power skating camp over the summer has helped his game a lot. Still nothing flashy but he battles and hits hard. Plays on the teams defensive 3rd line but lately that line has been putting the puck in the net as well.

His draft year was two years ago. He can still be drafted though. He has looked really good the last two games. Working hard with several hits. Even chipping in offensively. Not a good fighter, but is always willing.

Several Petes fans don't like Trojanovic because he has cost us a lot of games and doesn't make much of an impact. It's not enough to simply get points. Why would you want someone who doesn't work hard or is bad defensively?

I'm not sure Ottawa would go for it without one of those. Only other guy I could see is Lizotte but I don't think he can be traded until next year as second rounder. Any other good 1996/1997 to suggest as you guys do have a ton of picks to trade.

We do have 10 2nd round picks in the next 3 years.

Don't think just picks would do it. Anyways lets wait for Monaghan to come back. If not the petes I'm pretty sure the 67's will have no trouble finding a taker...colts,fronts,storm as he's a difference maker and could put a team over the top.

This team frustrates me to no end. One night awesome, the next.. Won't hit, back check or even compete. And oh.. Allow 5 PP goals.

Wow if Trojanovic is worth a 3rd rounder? What's Brady Austin worth?

The further into the season, do you think Austin's value goes up or down?

I think everyone knows around the league that he is a very capable #2-3 dman on almost any team. You will get great value regardless of how well the bulls do as a team this season.
