Based solely on the fact that Phoenix already has two late nineties Q superstars in Vermette and Ribeiro, they should add Gagne. Too bad Vinny got locked up by Philly.

If you tied a bow to Cammy's head, taught him to dance, and then paid his fed ex shipping costs, he still wouldn't begin to get you the likes of Gormey or Yandle.

Kesler to Phoenix

If Van tanks by mid season proving yet agin we don't have the stamina to go deep into the playoffs, how long do we wait to optimize potential returns for Kesler? Assuming the sedins resign for 3 years minimum, should we try to pry Domi + pick or top 6 winger from Phoenix fro Kesler?
Kesler would easily be a 1C on the coyotes and we would then make Horvat +Domi the core of our 3rd then 2nd line for years to come while we rebuild.

Domi isn't being traded anytime soon. Management is in love with him OEL style.

Can't afford him. Don't need him. Why pay the price to acquire him?

Vermette, Moss, Klesla, Summers, and a 1st round pick. Haha. I couldn't even keep a straight face typing it. But seriously, I don't think it's a good fit.

After thinking about it, I don't think the Oilers would trade Hemsky to Phoenix, we don't want to help division rivals get better.

While it's still early throughout pre season Hemsky looked like the Hemmer of old. He is playing a solid two way game, he seems motivated and poised out there on the ice.

Yep and then he gets hurt. Usually the game after he burns the Yotes.

Would the Coyotes be interested in something around Brouwer and Michalek?

Michalek is the least likely of our stay-at-home veterans to move - he's been a perfect compliment for OEL on our first pairing. Additionally, he has a NMC, which he probably will waive only for Ottawa (to play with his brother).
